I need double help

First, I played with a controller, then I got an old keyboard to help with the numerous keys the game has, but it’s a pain to create a hybrid between the two, so I got a mouse now, but it’s strange and difficult to play. I wanted to know what changes you made. Am I using the advanced settings or something similar.

Secondly, I’d like a quick tutorial on how to play in the top tier, precisely because of the event I’m losing a reasonable amount (30k) of SL so far, I don’t have the slightest idea of the difference between the missiles, I don’t know how to lock the radar onto the target.

Honestly, I’m really enjoying this event, especially playing with the A10 and SU-25. It’s quite fun, even though I don’t know what I’m doing. It’s a shame it’s ending and I’ll go back to my BR 4.0 and won’t be able to do CAS or bomb bases.

Now I’d like to know why Gaijin hates bombers and attack planes, and why it’s so difficult to have a large map with separate objectives instead of putting everything in the center.

There’s no “quick” way to learn top tier, but there are plenty of guides that can help you with understanding the mechanics.

Good playlist for overall top tier air:

I highly recommend watching a couple youtubers like:

  1. MiGan Fox-3:
    https://www.youtube.com/@MiGanFox3
  2. Catwerfer:
    https://www.youtube.com/@CatWerfer
  3. Bad Karma:

I also highly recommend finding a good player willing to help you get better at the game if that’s your wish, especially at top tier air. They can help you practice in clean environments against different vehicles and practice mechanics there. Works for lower tiers too, but that would mainly be dogfight-focused I think

For that I will recommend you wiping all keybinding, going for a test drive (preferably in a high tier airplane e.g. Su-30MK2) and binding the keys to whatever you feel more comfortable with. You may want to search YouTube tutorials for that about needed functions like radar modes, scale, lock-on target and select target. You may also find controls settings made by other uses published in Controls at live.warthunder.com. I would share my .blk file with the settings I use but I can’t access the game by this moment.

It happens that focusing only on air-to-air combat seems to be more important, the fast-paced combat that BVV_d seems to care more about considering its statements in the latest Q&A video. Nuclear Thunder is just a vision of how a more progressive team-based game mode would be in War Thunder. The reception been very positive, hopefully Gaijin understands and implement the idea to the game in the future soon.
