I just got the mirage 2000 5f and its great for most things. I am loving the mica. But the radar just feels horrid. I only have basic crew since am broke and cant afford expert so my spotting is already bad. But the radar just seems abysmal. It only scans 3 degrees verticaly on the tws. How do I know where the enemies are if I have to know where they are to point my radar at them ?
if you’re stock, stick to multipath.
You aren’t fast enough and don’t have the missile set to compete at altitude. Use terrain and the BS mica performance to your advantage.
am researching the magic2 rn then the mica. My main issue is the radar. Spotting is already bad enough as is but now I am going in fully blind bc of the radar. Maybe its bc I got basic crew or maybe bc I dont have any teamates around but people dont get spotted till 5km for me at any given time. And the radar is useless in tws. I am straight up just using src pd
Don’t use SRC PD, do use TWS.
sure it’s not the best radar but it was adequate when it was 13.7. I haven’t played it since the BR changes but pretty much the only difference is you won’t see as many fox1 jets.
Try getting your crew points up is all I can really tell you. The spotty system without expert crew is very iffy
I dont you understand how blind the radar is. Both the src pd and the tws have 120,60 and 30 degree horizontal search but the vertical search is 10 degrees on the src pd and a mere 3 on the tws. That means the tws only works if your radar is directly looking at the enemy and just cannot track multiple targets unless they are the exact same altitude.
My crew is max level am just too broke to get expert
When I used TWS, I used the thinnest box and just moved it around w/ the radar keybinds. Sure it’s not ideal but worked well enough.
solution, move the nose of your plane around while resetting the radar to boresight on occasion.
It’s not a bad radar and is more than capable, just a bit annoying at times.
I do that but it really just seems to pick up targets better on src pd
