So today I decided to go back into War Thunder after a month or two of not playing. I play via Steam, if that matters. I updated the game and hopped on a match only to be met by low FPS. Now normally, my PC can run games on full graphics no problem (for example ETS2 with extra graphics mods) but even when I lower the resolutions and everything down to the bare minimum, it still won’t be fixed by it. For perspective, I’m rocking a 5060Ti, 16GB of DDR5, a Ryzen 5 7500F and a KIOXIA-EXCERIA PLUS G3 1TB SSD. I suspect it might be because of the update. PLEASE help.
What FPS are you getting? Is it 1% lows or is it average FPS? What driver version are you running? Try updating/rolling back
By “low fps” do you mean Sub 60? or lower?
i normally get 110 fps on max settings but i keep getting sub 20fps out of nowhere. and the thing is it does run on 110 fps for a while but then it drops down to 15 out of nowhere. my drivers are the most recent one that nvidia rolled up, it MIGHT be a faulty driver
it starts out from a normal 110 and then suddenly drops to 15-20 out of the blue
and for the record, i only have discord and yt music on the background which normally dont cause any issues
Have you checked your settings, cuz i missed that i had RT on and my fps dipped from 240 to 3 sometimes. sounds similar to your problem
same has been happening to me, sometimes ill have youtube playing in the back and when i alt tab and come back, ill be locked to around 20-30. not quite like yours but i thought i might add
use dx11 instead of 12 and see if it fixes the fps
