I found somethings interesting on the live server about vehicle modules(Double Standards on Ground Vehicles Modules implementation)

I’ve been venturing around current ground vehicles modules in war thunder and found something interesting.

M1A1 thru M1A2 SEP variants(this screenshot is on M1A2 SEPv2) are modelled to have its horizontal and vertical drive of the turret and commander&gunner sights connected to the electronics and hydraulic pump which is very specific even made wires connecting those compartments.

Leopard 2A7 also have its FCS compartments and turret rotation drives connected to the electronics with wires modelled very detalied and specifically. Which is very logical and detail. Since heavy metal compartments such as tank turrets cannot be traversed by its own crew power is impossible and inefficient.

But somehow T-72B3 in game module does not have electronics to power the turret traverse system nor the autoloader, nor gunner and thermal sights.

T-80BVM as well is not modelled its electronics and wirings to power the turret traverse systems and FCS modules.

T-90M also got neglected its electronics and its wirings to the FCS and the Autoloader in its modules and damage models. Moreover, its turret basket is labelled as armor.

It’s kinda strange isn’t it? If module and damage model of high rank soviet tanks were realistically correct, getting hit on engine or electronics will disable not only the autoloader but also turret rotation drives. Also damaging the wires will also disable the autoloader and the turret rotation drives from fuctioning, like M1A1 and A2 variants of the Abrams in the game already does.

I’m pointing this out since these damage model detail differences are affecting the gameplay and efficiency of said vehicles.

Maybe because the gameplay on most top tier Soviet MBTs isn’t sad enough and you are bringing this topic again? It was already clearified, there’s a thread about this specific subject.

This is the hypocrisis in this topic. When the Soviet MBTs recieved those modules I haven’t seen a single thread about the topic. But when the counterparts do, it’s a spam, I could could at least 10 of this same topic. The modules for the Leopard 2 and Abrams series is a good thing that can solve the black hole on the hull.

The thing is: Autoloader modules should also damage the turret drive of soviet MBTs is the correct implementation of said module damage model. It’s half-life thing. Also, Soviet in GRB in the high BRs have good overall winrate so you even play the game lol

Russia has basically the same winrate as other nation. Only the US stands out, and Israel to an extent

No, they don’t. They currently have the second worst WR in the game.

From what i can find, the current win rates (high to low) are as follows. For top tier:

Italy
Sweden
Russia
France
Japan
Germany
China
Britain
Israel
US

And 1st worst win rate nation is Abrams abundant US is it coincidence?

Caused by bad players.

At this point, i think gaijin could make every forward facing pixel on the abrams 1m thick and their win rate would struggle to hit 50%

And russia has such winrate because good players or overperforming vehicles?

Russia’s WR is tanked by the rather shit tanks.
Pun not intended.

Being 3rd is pretty good but it doesnt stand out. The top 6 nation’s win rates are within 1% of each other

Excuse me but i can taste your little bias here…

I’m not biased. Its fact. Russian tanks aren’t doing so hot.

Russia’s first br to break 50% is 8.0

They break 50% 2 more times at 11.7 and 12.0

look at IPM1 and premium STRV121B Christian for an even bigger shock

Soviets are the same, so that’s hardly a point

Theres always a little bias here and there but i mean they arent all so bad, its just that its sometimes(by sometimes i mean most of the time) wrong and they wont fix it

Glad I stopped playing the main three, all of them are terrible in the game and makes the experience overall terrible for everyone, even for people that doesn’t like to rely on team (which I did, and it make me died because the team let a tank flank the entire front and killed a lot of people).

Nothing strange about it, the motors for the turret drive for T-series tanks are right next to the sprocket. And the wiring for that is on the turret itself transferred through the ring, and any wiring would travel along the ring itself.
