I don’t mean to criticize the development team’s efforts, but I’d like a common-sense explanation.**

First, let’s not even mention why the lower front plate equipped with explosive reactive armor (ERA) is only 10mm thick. But why would a piece of armor with a physical thickness of over 300mm have an armor effectiveness coefficient of just 0.14? Even if you took cotton, soaked it in water, and folded it up, you probably wouldn’t end up with such an absurd material property."

"Of course, maybe you had ‘balance’ in mind—
‘Hey guys, let’s give the Chinese tech tree a paper-thin light tank! The VT5 will be perfect!’
So you gave it decent mobility and firepower, but intentionally nerfed its armor to be even less survivable than the PTZ89. I get the logic, but this feels like a stretch."
