I usually play 11.7 because that’s where the A-10C is, My favorite aircraft. I have had no good games this week so far and I been getting really frustrated with it, a little advice? Strategy wise or even how to just not get mad at the game.
What mode are you playing?
I’d recommend just taking a short break and play something else for a few days.
It’s tagged as ARB, which probably explains the miserable time he is having.
Like 10.7 warthog or 11.3 warthog with bit of communism
Ah, my bad, didnt notice that tag. I dont know then, I played it for bit to unlock gbu39 and it was okay but nothing outstanding considering earlier a10s have same gun at lower br.
Most of it’s upgrades are HUD and avionics etc aren’t they? so they are probably fairly insignificant outside of sim, where I would imagine they would make a much larger difference.
Yes, hmd, tags on friendlies and even more ordnance should work well in sim. And people are less aware so aim9m should do its job too.
You can either have a friend protect you, or you could bring it to ground mode.
I also have had no good games playing USA since the addition of Abrams aps/v3 lol while everyone else has more wins than loses. 💩 happens bro you can take short break and come back then things will get better.
Nah, it’s not just air.
Welcome to the club - this game is so “fun” that repeatedly bashing my head against hollow knight pantheons is feeling rewarding
Yeah no arb is really not adapted for attackers, either they’re good as fighters and them you use them as fighters, or they’re bad in air combat and you just get bullied… especially with something very slow like the A-10. That’s why they’re developing a new mode where strike is the main focus. Arb is not and never will be suited for ground attack gameplay
I’ll try to stick to another mode / airplane or just change the atmosphere for a couple of days with other games.
Biggest issue is your lack of speed. Not much you can do about it. I suggest going a bit to the side while flying into the match. Throw your gbu 39s out once you get less then 20km away. Then either do ground pounding or helping take out fighters, depending on the situation.
Use the missiles in rear/side aspect.
You get better weapons. gbu 39 is great at wiping out the stationary ground targets. You also get aim9m with HMD which is rather nice.
Sim is the only air mode where attackers can actually work their magic without getting too much competition.
Best advice is just to take a break for a few days or weeks. You will not be missing much the game is nothing special, plenty of other time wasters to play on in the internet.
Yeah, but you need to be patient in a sim-game. Some (and I can speak for myself as well) prefer some fast-paced games instead.
But if you manage to play sim at a fun level, then that’s a very good game mode for diversity your gameplay in WT.
Well, not that much more patience. It’s not as if one has to fly for half an hour until one can do something, as I suspect a lot of AB and RB players still believe: Roughly 5, 6 minutes will have you over your target area, 10, 12 minutes will have you back to rearm in many maps.
What’s often also not considered especially for grinding: Boosters are counted per match and per 30 minutes: In AB/RB if you get killed after 5 minutes, you lost your booster. In Sim you simply respawn and the booster continues until it runs out, so muchmore efficient use of boosters. AND if you have a booster that goes over several missions, it will activate the next stage automatically while in the EC match.
I can agree with you, but there are some things that applies differently to the players:
I prefer matches that move at a faster pace. In ARB, the match is already nearing its end by the 6-7 minute mark—that’s not just when players start running into each other on the map. Plus, since I play mostly at top tier, there’s often no need to return to base to rearm. Simulator mode certainly has its own appeal, though I haven’t really gotten into it (maybe not yet?).
I’ve seen sim matches that lasted an hour and a half… :(
- Regarding the grind… I can’t really say much there. Sometimes matches where boosters are active get wasted because you die too quickly. It’s possible to die in under two minutes, though I, for one, own up to it.
