After constantly being terrorized by the Hunter F.58, I would like to see this plane moved up to 10.0. The fact that has great missiles, countermeasures, all while facing planes that it massively out speeds, is insane. All while at the same BR as the much more limited F.6, its blatantly biased in favor of the plane that can be easily purchased.

If the Hunter F.58 went to 10.0 it would be useless since almost all common enemies have flares, and its flight performance would go from ok to quite bad.
The BRs are too compressed to move it up. It is good, but moving it up will make it quite bad. Good luck facing a Mig-21bis in it lmao.
Better one plane has a chance to suffer than an entire battle rating of other planes.
If you move that up, many more planes would need to move up too, such as the Av-8s, some harriers, the ayit, and any other subsonic with ok missiles.
And then since those aren’t fully 10.0 capable, 10.X stuff has to move up. And then you basically get decompression.
Luckily they have far worse flight performance and aren’t nearly as much of a problem.
so, the topic was created in August, the problem appeared two years ago, there is still no solution.

This plane is not found in random at all, I haven’t seen it for a year, I have half-upgraded modules on it. I wrote about it on the old forum four years ago, as we see, there is no result.
They also do not see the packet mirage with the Matra Magic 2 at 12.0, it has bad flight characteristics, but the Harriers sit on 13.0 and no one cares. They also forgot about the A-10 at 11.7, which was created exclusively for joint battles and flies either to an empty field or as an appetizer. And there are many such examples, but the main thing for Gaijin is to sell 3D models for 50 dollars every couple of months, and they do not care about the rest.

I am using the F6 now in ARB to spade it for rp bonuses, but it is worst experience ever.
It is slow, it cannot turn, IR missiles explodes past 3.7 seconds, bombs are useless for bases, everything gets destroyed before I reach there. I have probably just 2 kills in 22 battles. I am literally a sitting duck hoping to kill at least a few ground units.
I will abandon it as soon as it is spaded. I hope to not loose my hairs in process and preserve mental health.

I have now played an uptier, 500% SL and RP booster activated. We had no chance, against 10.7 AMX with AIM-9L. The guy had 7 kills at the end of the match.
Now the hunter is spaded I am grounding it for good.
I have all my hair, but frustration indicator reached new levels.
Yeah, the hunter f.6 at br 9.7 (ARB) is just a new level of frustration at stock since you mostly meet br > 10 with better speed, turn, missiles and flares…
I played the Hunter F6 with SRAAMS quite a bit at 9.7 and for me it worked out fine. Uptiers can be harsh ofc. I try to use rockets as flares. Works good against frontal shots by all aspect missiles at least. The SRAAMS are kinda criminal in a downtier. However against a plane with better flight performance and with flares you are a sitting duck. Just my observations.

The Hunter BRs are a total and complete mess.
At 9.3 you have the French Hunter F6, Hunter F58 (1971) and Hunter FGA9.
The Hunter FGA9 and Hunter F58 (1971) both get Aim-9Es and the more powerful Mk207 engine. The Hunter F6 only gets Aim-9Bs and the Mk203 engine. So compared to those 2, its weaker by a notable amount.
Though the Hunter F6 cannot realistically go down because its notably stronger than the J34 at 9.0. Whch gets a weaker engine and weaker wing design.
Now I wouldnt be surprised if the videos you were watching were back when it was new and it was at 9.0 and definetly a bit broken. But at 9.3…
It entirely depends on how lucky you are. If you get downtiered, the Hunters are solid aircraft, but in an uptier… you will struggle, quite a bit.
What we really need is a decompression of that entire BR range.

How’s the first hunter now that it’s at 8.7?
That might have been from when it was 9.0, and 9.0 tend to luck out of being dragged up into the 10.3 premium spam.
though in that clip hes turn fighting a J34 which is a Hunter F4, which has a much weaker engine and wing design. He should win.
That BR is a mess. Needs a decompression. if/when that happens, then it will be good

You’ve got the mig17s sitting at that 8.3? Now the F1 is 8.7 it’s not bad at all.
The F6 sits for example at 9.7 which is above jets which beat it out in every single.regard, mig19 for example.
I must say, it’s not just a hunter problem now , its just such a compressed area.
