How?
It is still rear-aspect missiles so, if you launched it from bad angle or something else, you will miss it just like that F3H.
Even it has thrust vectoring, it doesnt works like R73.

f5c too shuld been move down becouse they is now on 11.0 with only aim9e (faster aim9b) and on this br standard is aim9j/L
Not my fault its a garbage missile idiot
If SRAAM were modelled correctly. It would have easily hit. They should have double their current range and should have all-apsect. Both have been fully reported. There is also issues with the TVC, which I have a report up for.
I have killed many in the past with similar aspects, even with missiles such as Red Tops and more than a few with SRAAM. There is a weird new behaviour I have observed with them, where they self destruct far more often than I think they should.
Now whilst SRAAM probably shouldn’t get all-aspect currently due to issues with balance and compression. They do need a buff to their seeker. There is no reason why that missile self destructed, almost any other missiles would have continued to track after being fired. Though as I said before, I think there may be an relatively new bug with the SRAAM or some shadow change to them that I intend to investigate at some point.
Probably, current SRAAMs can’t find heat signatures if you turned over 90 degrees even on very close range unlike AIM9D/Gs.
That’s not surprised for me honesty because Gaijin changed heat signature mechanism generally few times since AAMs was implemented in thr game and, some IRAAMs worked as all-aspect missiles before heat signature changes such as SRAAMs, R-60s, Magic 1 or even on AIM-9Es.
IMO, heat signatures are still need some reworks, since even on R-3S, historically, they could launch against F-14A that is coming from front. iirc, libyan Su-22 pilot did it but, he missed.
F-104 is not dominating bruh
I do think SRAAMs deserve a buff, they were very good little missiles but staying at 9.7 as a 1950s subsonic fighter is a stretch. The swiss hunter id say barely deserves such a high placement too
They do, they need a massive rework. You also have things like the harrier could entirely hide it’s heat signature by simply putting it’s wing between the nozzles and the enemy jet (usually done by angling nozzles to 30° and pulling up slightly). This was even enough to prevent Aim-9L acquiring a lock during the Falklands.
In game harriers are some of the hardest jets to defeat an IR missile in, even with a generous use of flares.
So many examples of issues exist due how poorly modeled IR signatures are.
I know Thunderskill is flawed, but still:
Seems balanced and non-dominating, right?
Tell me how I can catch a F-104 in a subsonic.
they just feed off the premium noobs who have no spacial awareness. Anyone with even the slightest bit of skill can simply turn and not get killed by it.
I turn to avoid it and then what?
Cannot catch it.
Shoot a missile at it?
It can simply out energy the missile.
You will always be on the defensive against it. The speed difference is that vast.
The only thing you can do is hope to catch it off guard when it is slow, but if the 104 keeps it speed, you cannot do anything.
Well no wonder you don’t know how to counter F-104. You’ve never even touched one in your life
I took the liberty to watch one of your replays in which you play a 104.
It seems like you do not know how to play a 104.
Base-Bombing and dogfighting in a F-104C? Really?
And it seems you have to learn the difference between IR and Radar missiles.
bro has never heard of grinding in his life. anyways yeah you know nothing about F-104.
I can’t believe they didn’t include Hunters in Octobers BR changes…
They moved French Hunter to 9.3 lmfao
Wait they did? I mean 900 more thrust is crazy but man with how compressed stuff is thats gonna be roug, guess we’ll just have to see.
Only in RB though.
In SB, the Hunter F6 is still 9.0 and the Hunter FGA9 is 9.7.
which is just insane to me
