Italy currently has the Romanian Mig-29 Sniper as a rank 8 premium at BR 12.7, unfortunately is not exactly that good. Not to mention lack of CAS ability in ground RB.
Maybe at some point we could get a Hungarian Gripen as a premium, using the camo from the 2026 Tiger Meet. This would not only make it more in line with other nations rank 8 premiums in terms of air to air combat, but also give it some CAS ability. The camo also looks cool which is nice.

SAAB always has big articles on new deals like they did when Hungary chose to upgrade their old Gripen fleet to MS20 BLK 2.
If they were buying into the Gripen E we’d need to see a fully built model as the current two users of the Gripen E have two separate models, asking for them before they’ve even been made is another can of worms IE Thai Gripen E.
Yeah unfortunately OP didn’t show any sources and likely did no research, the camo is pretty cool and would be neat to see in game for the Gripen C
if anyone else is going to get the gripen e it will be britian if cnanda goes ahead with the order which seems likely
And they will need to wait until they are rolled out as again we don’t know what model of Gripen E they are getting.
So we’re looking at 5+ years for the first roll out if they buy them today

You’re talking setting up SAAB factories and Training people to learn how to build the vehicle. Building the factories alone will take time then training on top of that you don’t just get all that done in a month.
That’s not even mentioning what parts the Canadian Gripen will have and how it effects assembly

As for Meteor if gaijin doesn’t just give the EFTs another fictional loadout with no irl images of using the dual racks for AMRAAM. Then the Gripen will hold more Meteor going forward but that’s only if the AMRAAM dual rack isn’t allowed to carry Meteor due to weight. (Which it shouldn’t be iirc)
