Do I really have to put /sarc every time?
yes. its text. sarcasm and text don’t go together and this forum is full enough of misinformed people that many might believe that you actually think what you write is true.
A video showing the effectiveness of different materials vs. apfsds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuWbwP0YRM8
What book is this from if I may ask ? Gaijin can be very picky on some of the authors.
Abrams got a very good suspension to handle more weight and armor!
"Tanks (inside out) Michael E. Haskew.
To be fair, there isn’t enough context to derive sarcasm here. I thought you were being serious lol.
What does that even mean, youre the one misconstruing everything
I said the v3 service date started in 2020, Ayeflyingcowboy said it started in 2018. He denied everything i showed him continuing to clam it was in service in 2018. What am i misconstruing? The service date is 2020.
In may of 2019 the SEPv3 was under FOT&E. It wasn’t set to be issued until 2020? what is the argument here?
The Army received those tanks for testing. The SEPv3 did not enter service until FY20.
The Army received HSTV-Ls too. But they never entered service.
USA winrate is a disaster they gotta do something about it not just sit arround while us mains suffer from spall liners and germany and russia in the same team.
fym this is a devblog about the abrams, and since usa got the lowest winrate in wt history they need a buff asap, china is 53% winrate
even italy got more winrate than us bruh
@arsenal119 now that it’s in the Abrams hull armor forum, the M1A2 SEPv2 would be able to have DU in the hull because the M1A2 has the same armor as the “latest generation of M1A1” (the M1A1 HA, or Heavy Armor) in December 2001:
The current obstacle is gaijin wants armor values. They have claimed that without armor values they do not know how much the armor is improved, or in their word made weaker.
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/ahJkWwC4Yd3m
The SEPv2 is not expected to be completely replaced till 2028 so it feels like we are between a rock and a hard place.
Again, that data is likely classified. I have looked for a while and the best data we have is a BRL armor proposal for the M1A2 with and extra 25% KE and 35% CE (it might’ve been the other way around, I can find it later) from 1992.
What they should do is make the tusk a mod and the give the sevp v2 trophy then when the sevp v3 comes it be the same but better hull
Gaijin. Fix the turret ring protection.
Deal with the Swedish-trial Abrams front armor array.
Add M829A3.
Remove TUSK and make it optional.
Make Trophy an option.
Also, see to the TOWs and give them their proper penetration for your game balance.
When they do that, I’ll play Abrams more often.
I very much doubt they’re using proper Lanz-Odermatt or Tate-Averskeeski models to model their armor arrays to stop APFSDS, and any claims that Kontakt-5 would stop an M829A3 are false in the extreme, and considering that recent events show their most modern ERA arrays aren’t fully stopping even basic tungsten penetrators on the front from their own guns. What makes them think they’ll stop a DU alloy round?
But this is just ridiculous to constantly deal with copy-paste Swedish-trial Abrams and have people complain that the reload is unrealistic (it’s not) and that it’s a buff (it’s not) when most people aren’t even using tanks cooperatively in the game.
So yeah, it’s a game. I’m not going to keep chipping my teeth away on it. I’m grinding Japan instead. Maybe when some of the guys need to run some missions, I’ll help with my line-up for some wins.
In the meantime, no amount of Clickbait players are causing this WR problem. It’s a defeatist attitude that Gaijin has now reinforced with the American mains who don’t want to even bother bringing more than 1 tank.
That, or there’s a ton of premium players/bots who will absolutely grind one module at a time and bounce out after one death, because it’s easier for them to stay sane, while driving their teammates insane.
You do know that when they upgrade a series they take the oldest in stock and upgrade them first. Sepv2 is still fairly current and would’nt be chosen over m1a1 in reserve for upgrades. That way USA still maintains and fields their strongest equipment.
Thats fair but the current fielding plan is set for the v3 upgrade to be finished in 2028.
Contracts are renowned for going over time and over budget so i may go longer but it is currently set to be complete in 2028.
