i dont know how to make friends in games, how you guys do it?
i only know sitting in a corner and snipe from 2km away and i feel i’ve got more reports and enemies than friends in all this time

Custom battles. I only made three friend from custom battle (they stopped playing shortly after). Never made any friends from RB or sim game mode
Go into a battle, ask anyone if they wanna squad up n do dumb stuff, enjoy
Look for squadrons that are recruiting, here on the forum or in the in-game chatrooms. Many of them have discord servers where they talk and play together :)
Gotten a few mates from playing ARB, just asking people if they want to squad. Worked pretty well.
Well, don’t try going AFK to answer the door… I just did and I come back to a damaged wing and some guy screaming in chat… I dunno what a “caonima” is but I doubt it means I’m his new BFF.

I joined the discord ran by WingalingDragon for finding squadmates for air simulator battles. I wouldn’t say the people there qualify as “friends” (I have a very strict definition of friend), but they make for decent buddies to talk about Warthunder with and ask for advice and fly events with when my schedule and interest lines up.
Likewise, I joined the “War thunder Duelling Community” discord server to improve in my dogfight fundamentals and although once more I wouldn’t qualify people there as friends, I found some somewhat reliable buddies to study under and practice with.
Additionally, being a regular face in SB TSS tournaments led me to becoming somewhat familiar with other regulars leading to some casual fraternizing before and after our duels whenever we meet.
I always enjoy fighting this guy.
Finally, I find that playing SBEC at WW2/prop tiers (3.0-5.7) has introduced me to a number of regular names (not in any of the earlier categories) that if I run into them in a lobby we can fratenize about random stuff, co-operate relatively effectively and just generally enjoy fighting each other. Dadliver would be one such stand-out for me.

I used to make party’s on XBOX and we would play till like 3 in the morning then we’d add each other before we left the party, other than that either make em in ARB, SIM, or custom battles
lol I convinced dad to play, and he loved it. Then I convinced a schoolmate to play, and HE loved it. Then he convinced HIS dad to play, and HE loved it. We technically aren’t friends from WT, but ig it works.
I’d suggest that you join the War Thunder Discord Community. I’ve met many people there. Joining a Squadron will help as well. I wish you luck! o7
