What? The aim120 exists till today the f14 did have a lot part in testing of aim120 and not just in blueprints

I believe these issues will be resolved with Phoenix’s enhancement, but seeing that the enhancement still hasn’t been implemented makes me feel hopeless
Well, I’m just happy my F-14D is getting implemented, so I don’t really care about the AIM-120

Personally I think it should get aim120 not just because the apg71 proved its capability with aim120 but because amraams is better than aim7p. and in terms of comparison to the aim54 has the range maybe even speed but I like the fact that aim120 has better performance in terms of weight and aero and is a lot more easy to missile joust in a aircraft that dosent have hmd or tcs model correctly (not just for the f14 ik other aircraft can have irst,tcs, and radar that can slave to work together)

I do think having AMRAAM would make things easier, but I’m afraid it might erase the ingenuity and originality in how we fight precisely because it’s the Tomcat… It’s harder to remove than to add…
Also if the f14D does come without amraams i feel like it would be the new f14B in a higher br because aim7p would be like the aim7m and the aim9L but with aim7p and 9m and as updates come in they won’t act the same as their were first implemented
Edit: Unless they implemented towed decoys and the radar mode were it can lock onto a jamming signal

Like when the f14 was able to carry 4 aim7m 2 aim54s 2 aim9L/bol pods (in game ) I don’t think it’s hard to remove something as they done it before

The current BR is clearly insufficient, and I hope that aspect will be improved as well.

Well, what I’m trying to say is I don’t want to fight just by trading ARH like the F-15E or F/A-18C
A slightly weaker aircraft is the most fun.

It’s going to be 13.3+ anyways we’re most aircraft have arh and hmd so your best play style would be 10.0-12.7 I think
people compare Aim54c+ to the aim120c to be as good so I think it’s going to be 13.3+

It’s funny because the Aim-120C5 beats the Aim-54C in the 60km Mach 1 shot by almost 3 seconds iirc. Which is absurd.
Only the F-14A will stay the same BR. Because it’s Aim-54s will stay at the same range and the A model will be a SARH until pitbull. So it evens out.

Sounds great, now add AIM-7R on top of AIM-120A to future F-14D while you’re at it.
