How would the F14D do in war thunder? The F14D super tomcat was the final advanced variation of the F14.
The armament I could find was
Aim-9 (pretty much all variants)
Aim 120 Amram (prototype)
Aim 54 A and C
Aim 7 M and P models
If they ever added the Super tomcat 21 model it would have fly by wire capabilities, more fuel efficient engines, better avionics, radar and IRST systems. The Super tomcat 21 would probably not be added so the best bet would be the F-14D by itself. It would probably be added into the Folder F14 variants aswell. (I can’t finish this it is too late at night for ts)

Up to 9m in service irl. 9x is compatible but didn’t use it in service.
not on production f-14ds in service. It was compatible with a software upgrade but didn’t get it on production f-14ds.

it basically be what the way better F/A-18C likely around 13.0 because at 13.3 it be facing rafales
probably handle similar to the F15A
its slightly heavier than the b model with the same engines. gonna be a slightly worse 14b
FM wise yes but avionics weapons wise miles better only slightly worse FM wise
Handles like the F-15A with Aim-9M and Aim-120A?
Compared to say Tornado F3 Late with 4x Aim-9M and 4x Aim-120B. The F-14D would be better in a dogfight. It would easily be 13.3 or maybe even 13.7 material. Especially if you consider the F-14B with Aim-9L and Aim-54 is already 13.0

Yep, including the 9X according to Raytheon.
The Aim-54A was not available for use on the F-14D. It’s removal of the coolant made any other Phoenix variant except for the Aim-54C+ ECCM/Sealed unviable to use.
That folder is already filled with the F-14A (Early) and F-14B. The much more likely situation is that they add Rank 9, and the F-14D, Superhornet, etc… are added as the US naval fighters for Rank 9.

probably wont have AIM-120A just the AIM-7-P since it doesnt have the software in active service so it would be a slightly better F15A due to stronger radar and a stronger AIM-7P
is there a limit of foldered vehicles? i dont see a reason why it wont be foldered, there’s plenty of 3 vehicle folders
where does it say 9x is integrated on the f-14d? am i blind?
only mention of the 14d i can see is when it talks about experience designing its radar
i mean F14D probably could have carried them but it also carried AIM-9M-9s which are just worse 9X which arent in game
we probably wont know till they declassify stuff about it

I think the limit is currently 4 (they stated with the new mossie it couldn’t be the same folder as the other 4 because they wont have 5 in a folder)
It’s radar is 100% more capable than the awg9

Bruh if the fw got a experimental missile than the f14D should for sure get aim120A plus other jets that got missiles it didn’t use in service just currently don’t remember witch ones. the only aim120 it most likely will not get are aim120b for balancing reasons it was successfully tested on a f14A with f14D avionics and nobody wants to waste time adding two f14’s as some people don’t even want to see the f14D in game also it could use aim9x at a lower capacity or something like that

If I had the AIM-54C+ and AN/ABG-71, I wouldn’t need the AIM-120 or 9X. I’d just be happy if they gave me every Tomcat variant. After all, I’ve been waiting three years.
Ah, but I really want the AIM-9M.
