How would the f117 perform in nuclear thunder?

Would its stealth come in any use or would it just not work?

Not good,

Flip a coin.

AI SPAA are notorious for ignoring things like terrain. I wouldnt be surprised if they also ignored stealth

But it they wouldnt ignore it, is the f117 even stealthy with these modern radars?

Have been shot down by multiple top tier SAM/SPAA in ground RB (except for ITO)

No idea. No stealth is perfect.

But in NT the question is whether the AI would even be affected by it even if player versions of the SPAA are

i feel like stealth doesnt even work in war thunder

I did read somewhere around this forum that the reduced IR of the F-117 (from below at least) is underperforming.

Take into account F-117 flew like +10km of altitude. Stealth’s benefits are only felt far away.
WT is really claustrophobic for a lot of aircraft, F-117 included.

So if you flew at 10km up could you actually be stealthy in nuclear thunder?

Most of the short range AAs are SACLOS and the AI doesnt even need a radar lock to hit

The fent-powered backline AA will still dunk on you.

should they realistically be able to?

What was the backline russian AA again?
I know it was the patriot system for the US, but forgot USSR one.

S300 or Buk

wasnt it s75?

No

Yeah, unless you do GPS bomb toss from high altitude you won’t come back.
Pretty sad since they are these perfect high value targets clustered close to each other, one 2000lb bomb would clear most of an enplacement.

Once again you do need to spot them first, either an ally flies near them or try looking behind the hill they are located at while you climb.

And you won’t make a lot of money by literally prying open the enemy’s side.

The F-5C on reheat is colder than the F-117 currently. The joys of how Gaijin model “heat signatures”

Incredible

thats gajin for you
watch them make stealth actually viable once the SU 57 gets added
