How Was the Year in War Thunder: Rate the New Additions

Hello, tankers, pilots and captains! The past year in War Thunder has been packed: six major updates, hundreds of new ground vehicles, aircraft and ships, reworked maps, and significant updates to gameplay and visuals. The development team wants to know what truly landed, what left you indifferent, and what disappointed you, we want to hear it directly from you.

This survey covers the period from "Leviathans" (June 2025) to "Heavy Cavalry" (June 2026) and is divided into sections covering various additions, from new vehicles to graphics and controls.

The survey takes 5–10 minutes. Your answers will help us understand which direction to move in next, so the more honest you are, the better it is for the future of the game.

The survey will be available until August 14th (12:00 GMT).

Thank you for sharing your feedback!

Compere to what? It wasn’t bad, it could have been way better tho

Generally a lot of utility/control/gameplay additions were great for QoL, but balance wise I personally feel like some liberties were taken, regarding naval and high rank premium additions.

Personally the new gamemodes or trials there of were the most important changes of the past year in my experience. I hope some stay as permanent gamemodes, like Nuclear thunder and the new assault/advance gamemode.

Regarding the vehicle additions, I am disappointed by the small number of new and unique WWII and early Cold War vehicles added per update compared to the large number of modern vehicle additions.

For example, where are the FM-2 Wildcat, M4A3 (75) W, and other overdue vehicles that would make worthy additions?

My feedback is to encourage you to visit the Suggestions section of the forums more frequently.

It should help you plan new and more interesting vehicle additions, so you can make each update and event more attractive.

Was a poor year overall.

lack of care put into BR placements of additions like the pucara and yak 130.

too much copy paste slop.

unfair implementation of certain mechanics (ARMs)

Really really poor year.
BMPT and the new Pantsir are probably the biggest contributing factors, along with the complete lack of fixing critical issues (multipath, helicopter rotor doppler return)

@OrsonES left my feedback, hope it doesnt go straight into the shredder. Nonetheless, I feel the survey lacks section dedicated to helicopters, you might want to add one :)

Should add links to the change logs, so people can review the changes and remember what changed with what update. In the meantime, here are the links for those in the forums that read comments:

Good to see an attempt at interacting more with the playerbase. Just written a pretty long description of what I want to see moving forward (better implementation of subtrees (no more copy-paste when it’s just not necessary / a greater focus on the unique vehicles countries like Thailand, Finland, or BeNeLux could provide), more WW2 / early cold war vehicles (instead of constantly trying to add more and more modern systems (primarily aircraft and missiles, the ground side is fairly dead in that regard), improved communication from the developers, expanded gamemodes and new maps, etc.).

If I were a Gaijin, I would have also asked how much money you spend on the game per month. That way it’s easier to separate the players who should be listened to from those who should be ignored forever.
