So you spawn, fly, fly, fly, see guy coming from side or front then die. You can spam cms but enemy can wait out till flares are gone and send 9b. Those lock even in side aspect due to how hot those bombers are. Chaff only can save from sarh missiles but if guy sends it from close range you are doomed. Or if he sneaks up without radar and then locks you acm giving you little time to react. This works in grb only, caught some tu95s off guard because they probably didnt even know they can face demon with sparrows. Cannons can be flared or chaffed btw. Neither are aa20 nords.
The only possible gameplay is cosplaying target dummy, just like on every other bomber. Saying this as person who played b52h and then decided to do little extermination of strat bombers using f3h2 and g91.
After 2 rounds of the event, I gave up grinding them, as they are the dinosaurs that lived right at the KT-boundary and the event was no fun anyway.
When I read about the later event changes, I felt good.
When I read this, I feel even better.
climb as high as possible in air. if you do that its scuffed for even the lightning to reach you.

I found the way. Instead of side climbing you go back climbing… Side climbing there is tons of people still tryna hunt you down. Do climbing on the opposite direction of the battlefield till your around 13K meter then you start turning and use some flaps to reach 15K meter. Some vehicle still can climb that high but they struggle to aim you.
I have my lightnings radar set at a distance where i instantly see where they go so youre just prolonging death for people using radar right. climbing high is still the most challenging bit
also a big problem right now is that the current rate of fire for the 23mm guns is half of its real fire rate. Its currently only 600 (less than tu4) when in reality its 1250rpm. Once they fix that it should have a slightly better time defending itself
And my Tu-95 RWR is unreadable; it’s not easy to notch with it.

B-52H is missing its fire supression system.
Yes the B-52H doesn’t have conventional chemical EFS like halon 1301, but it does use a system where hydrolic valves and hydrolic firewalls cut iff the fuel and isolate the fire in the wing.
If they would add that, the survivability from an engine fire would be way better. (In both ground rb and air rb)

not really. they wont shoot back often unless you manually control the gunners
hopefully, because the make or break for a large bomber at this br is its defensive weapons. The doubling of firepower should turn it into a rather formidable aircraft even at 8.3. Not quite tu4 firepower but close-ish
Im curious how the b52 is holding up. I cant imagine its really viable even for an experienced bomber player. b29 syndrome just at 8.7. Tu95 can absolutely cheese matches in downtiers though lol, those early jets cant hang with it at high alt
There will always be atleast 2 enemy player flying higher then you and start to search for you no matter if your side climbing or not. They will literally chase you for half of the match just to kill you.

I like to spawn on the airfield and stay semi low, generally people will escort you, and its helps both fighters and bombers, fighters get free kills because others get hyperfocused on bombers and the bombers actually get bases (sometimes generally you have to get AI targets tho)
not possible and not needed unless you face an F3H in which case rest in peace
I got another problem ONLY for the Tu-95. The fact it flares was sent very behing which sometimes those heat seeking missile simplyy just ignored it unless the missile was shot from behind.
