I’ve been doing a bit of research on the subject, but I can’t really find an answer. Is there any indication on the cockpit display for the saab105 when bombing in sim? Or do I just have to treat it like a stuka? I know it has the small cross in the center, but it’s there normally and doesn’t seem to do anything special when CCIP is active.
You need to switch the sight mode to “bombs”, either by setting a keybind in controls for “Switch sight mode in cockpit” or by using the multifunction menu (key sequence Y-6-7). It will cycle through standard and all the other modes (for cannons, rockets, and bombs).
When in “Standard”, apart from the cross there will also be the 6-petal shape with the dot in the middle.
When in any other mode, it will disappear, only showing the cross. It will reappear and move around to indicate where the cannon rounds, rockets, or bombs will land, if the projected landing spot is within the field-of-view of the HUD.
Due to the trajectory of the projectiles and the size of the HUD, you will only see it when diving steeply or flying very close to the ground. It’s not as easy to use as it is in Realistic, but it’s better than nothing.
Thank you very much, this helps tremendously.
