does anyone know how to use radar gunsights (for guns) I have no idea how they are actually supposed to work
For sim or rb? For rb you just put the calculated gunsight into your target and send a burst. Its a good practice to send a burst starting right into the target and overshoot it a bit.
You can practice on a custom match against a furball of AI. There you can go to town even with your own AI teammates (just like some people do on your average match lol)
Ballistic computers you mean? Depending on the plane they’ll feature specific ballistic computers for specific weapons. By hovering your mouse over the pilot on the aircraft and check for Cannons, Rockets or Bombs followed by “CCIP/CCRP”, means that there’s a ballistic computer for said type of weapon.
You have to set a keybind for activing the ballistic computer for Rockets, Cannons and Bombs, usually bombs and rockets’ ballistic computers is enabled by default, cannons in other hand, isn’t.
Is it like the 3km radar gun sight found on the f-86’s or f-11f-1’s? If so, that’s mainly to give a distance estimate in simulator so you can more accurately guide your shot’s. In Rb it’s basically useless sense we get player marker’s.
If it’s like the top tier’s radar gun sight link, You just need to lock the target, get within 1~3km and it’ll change your reticle to show the lead automatically.
It real good in sim, it’s like a budget ballistic calculator.
no not ballistic computers
yes
their supposed to automatically adjust the gunsights ranging on all aircraft that have it, (f86 included) but at this point I think the f86’s ones don’t work
It seems to work on the MiG-19PT in simulator difficulty but not arcade or realistic for some reason. You can see the reticle shift when you lock a target/turn off your radar, but it doesn’t show an overlay of the target position or adjust the circle size like it does in real life.
okay why we dont have this tipe of scoping system in warthunder. Or am i just noob and dont know how to turn it on
