Title said it, how do i use these things. Are they just bigger zuni rocket?
Manual guided air-to-ground ammunitions can be aimed using the “Yaw axis for aimed weapons” and “Pitch axis for weapons aiming” or if you know the route of the missile, just fire it directly without going for adjustments. This also applies to any other MCLOS weapons in-game.
so it isnt like the agm65b?
can i use tracking camera to guild
I doubt there’s a plane with a pod to guide it, so you should use the set controls for manual guided weapons.
aw man
F-4s doesnt have it right
aw man
how do i cas then
You don’t need a separate pod to guide it, the guiding transmitters are already on the plane. It’s not extremely hard, but requires skill, isn’t as versatile, and you pretty much have to fly in a straight line while guiding for accuracy. The best tip is to mostly use small adjustments to guide.
that would be difficult if they have good spaa then
AGM-12s cannot lock targets unlike the AGM-65. You need to guide AGM-12s manually with keyboard inputs (or a joystick if you have one)
If they remain still, you can maneuver and forget the missile as long as it is already on a straight line to the target.
MCLOS missiles are really not worth it in my experience. I’d recommend just using a pod of unguided rockets instead.
Bullpups are basically early maverick’s. Thei’re hand guided which means you have to use default binds with shift key (someone already posted that). Good way to learn how to use them is to take fairly slow plane (ab 900km/h average) , climb to let’s say 1.5/2km and shoot them straight down. Remember to use your airbrake to slow your fall down. controls are inverted in vertical axis so shift + w gives you downward movement and shift + s upwards (relatively). Thing is to not use full controls as manual control work in percentage manner. it adds axis deviation and allows missle to turn. Mostly, try to shoot straight at your enemy and just delicatelly append the movement of the missle with steering binds.
this is the setting you can use to set up your own missle controls. i use alt key due to having alt binded as hotkey for changing engine controls. Also , hard turns with bullpup missles (60%<) mean that missle will probably not hit the taget. try to use maximum of 50% pitch or yaw axis to aim them. That means you have to learn how the missle behaves after launch from your plane
Really depends on the plane and BR though.
What about F-4C
The F-4C has great flight performance, a massive payload, and ballistics computers, so loading something like Zunis would be more valuable than AGM-12s. A plane like the A-4B, however, has no ballistics computers, worse flight performance, and a smaller payload, so AGM-12s are more useful.
