How do I play it completely stock? I cant pen anything and going from 6.7~7.0 to 8.0 is just difficult.

Might just have to rely on targeting aircraft, scouting actively, taking captures, and picking your battles carefully.
Those low caliber autocannons can be rough without their good belt.

Scout and remember that tracks and barrels are fun targets, especially if you have team mates nearby to mop up.

Same as the Fox. Cap points, scout enemies, track/destroy barrels on enemies you can’t penetrate.

Gajin gave it fictional APCR belts to make the stock grind as painful as possible so you pay GE. best way to play b4 you get APDS is just scout.

Same as Fox, the stock grind is pure suffering lol just do a lot of scouting and destroy tracks to receive kill assist, you can also try spading it in Arcade assault for kill assist, its incredibly helpful for the team as you slow down the enemies by breaking their tracks, one game I’ve gotten 56 kill assist and enough to complete one modification.
The stock round has enough stopping power to kill most light tanks though.

well I have tried but its very hard to find a target that is in such position where I wont be shot, I am working on it, thanks for all the help
Foxes are the most easiest to kill, I also have killed a Leopard 1 from the side by tracking but I dont know what vehicles I can or cannot pen with HVAP, would be helpful to know. Thanks alot for the help. :D

Keep playing my bro. Learn this cool technique that I use to level up, it’s called sui rush.
If you’re lucky you’ll destroy a light tank, or possibly a medium tank if he’s weak on the sides.
The sui rush is dreadful for your KD ratio but honestly it’s better than driving 400 feet from spawn and just waiting for the enemy to take the whole map.
I have been playing more and am quite close to apds, only a few mods to go.
I only seem to be able to kill lights and leopards and at close range; but I am starting to get the hang of it. Once again thanks for all the help.

You cry because its ammo belts are massively underperforming vs its real world performance. Ans HVAP is worthless in general. Just scout really.
It’s not “worthless”; just really bad. I can still kill lights with ease as long as I’m close. And I can also kill Leopards from the side. I’m not defending HVAP, by all means it’s trash
What do you mean how to play it stock? It’s a support vehicle first and foremost. Use your speed to get easy cap points, use your quick moving/quick firing gun to take down air, etc. You don’t need to be able to kill people to still do well in the XM800T, regardless of it lacking scouting.

Use your speed to quickly get on cap. Learn to have trigger discipline cause most of the tanks you’re gonna face especially in downtiers have a lot of armor and you won’t have enough time to disable them if you choose to shoot them. Use your size to hide yourself. Spot as many as you can. Generally, I avoided shooting most russian tanks apart from lights cause they have alot of armor.
