I just unlocked the F-15C GE, it’s my first top-tier jet and I have no idea how to use it. Since it’s stock, I try to take out bases, but I get killed in 3 seconds…
What’s the best tactic to grind? Should I fly high or hug the ground (90% of players use the Rafale)?
I came from the F-5E (11.0 BR) so I’m very good at dogfighting, but I’ve never used radar missiles before and the F-15 feels like a brick to me.
You jumped from F-5 straight to GE?
No Hornet? F-15A? MSIP?

Find videos on YouTube about radars, radar missiles, notching and IRCCM flaring. For the love of god do not use an air superiority fighter as a bomber. Use your 4 stock missiles and 940 rounds for kills. Get flares/chaff then get the Boosters. With the boosters equipped the plane feels like a jet instead of a bomber.
Then go 9L > 9M > BOL > 7M > G-Suit > Wing repair (or cover) > 120A > Engines and then the rest. (There’s a bug with BOL pods which they don’t give you the extra countermeasures. So make a loadout with them after you unlock them and then copy it).
Until you’re able to use chaff (and are confident with notching) hug the ground. When you can use chaff (with BOL or otherwise) and can notch reliably fly high. The AESA radar is quite handy at scanning half the sky.
The videos say to use TWS mode and launch missiles at multiple targets. Is it normal to only get a lock-on within 20 km?
I thought there was no point in using the other F15s, so I grinded for the GE directly.

For TWS which yes you should basically exclusively use instead of SRC PD set the range to 74km. Don’t bother with crazy distance shots. They will probably miss. And you don’t have many missiles to spare. Of course it depends on the situation but still.
Ye ngl best thing you can do is to a actually NOT play GE but go back to F-4E, then F-4J, then 12.3 Hornet, then F-15A and then maybe arguably go MSIP or GE.

You simply have no clue what to do (not meant as insult just stating how things are) there isnt any magical advice, you have to learn like 3 BRs worth of knowledge and that cannot be done in one allnighter.
To this I agree all the way. Jumping from 2 9J’s and 2 autocannons to 2x 9Ms, 6x 120As/Cs and terminologies as notching, multipathing etc. is quite a big leap.
9M is last of that line , since it doesnt give you anything actually. ( you lose stock 120’s if equipping 4)
So it is wing/cover , g suit and then 9m, and after that 120.
Doesn’t really matter. Just get to the next tier as soon as possible 😅
