How to play the A28

Just got the A28 swedish vampire and have no clue how to play it. It’s very slow but turns really well so I’ve been trying to stay fairly high and maintain my speed to dive bomb enemy planes and beat them in a turn right but never works. My pilot gets knocked out in like two seconds from the G forces. I’ve never had a pilot as weak as on this plane. Also I can never seem to hit my shots and can’t stop getting into 4 vs 1 fights. I know that this plane is good but I just can’t figure out to use it.

Isolating people for 1v1s will help you for starters.
Fly it like a fisherman: stay inside other people’s turn circles while almost letting them get a shot, they overshoot real close to you and you get a chance to skewer them. ← requires a bit of investment into crew abilities

You can outturn basically everything you will fight, the problem will be getting into those turnfights and getting others to stay in them, you have let the enemy think they have a chance of winning for a little before turning at full turn and killing them

Yea for me very hard to only get 1 opponent. l always get into large battles.

Just stay away from enemy groups, and wait until one enemy starts paying attention to you. If nobody is paying attention to you, then they’re paying attention to someone else, which is your cue to come in and third party everyone.
The Vampire, being as slow as it is, was not made to carry entire teams and fighting 1v5. You are at the mercy of attackers, and your team’s performance.

-The pilot blacking out is a crew issue. If you can afford it, buy an expert crew. It really helps on jets. Also focus on investing the crew points into G resistance and afterwards into stamina. If you’re starting to black out mid-turn you can also tap your negative elevator key (if you dont have roll/pitch controls set up i recommend it as keyboard control is more precise in dogfights and allows you to look around while dogfighting), just tapping it can help you maintain control
-Since the plane is so slow you cannot dictate your engagements. This means that when you’re facing faster opponents (the vast majority in uptiers in this plane) you cannot decide to disengage, which is a great disadvantage when you’re being chased by multiple guys, and you cannot force a fight as the enemy can just run away (unless they take it for some reason).
-The thing about jets compared to props is that they won’t go much above their top speed. Something like the F4U-4B (prop) can go more than 200km/h over it’s top speed in a dive while a MiG-17 (jet) will struggle reaching 100km/h over it’s top speed. This means that even if you dive on people, they can often outrun you anyway, sa long as they can go around 1000 km/h on deck with their current energy. You rely a lot on the enemy taking the fight if they’re much faster.
This can be countered by constantly looking for 3rd parties - people that bled their speed away in a dogfight or are not paying attention as they’re looking at the guy they’re fighting. Since you’re manouverable you can also try giving the enemy a good position close to your 6 to bait them into taking the fight and winning over time with your superior turnrate, but that can be easily messed up and requires dogfighting expertise.
A lot of such free kills can be found in big teamfights. If you engage such a fight, make sure to preserve enough energy to defend if you get attacked. Don’t turn, execute boom and zoom-ish attacks (basically stay at a high speed).
One more thing, if you’re trying to catch someone going very fast, try cutting them off, aka put your cursor far in front of their plane, that way you fly to the point the enemy will be at by the time you approach it. This will allow you to get closer for a moment and perhaps hit a nice shot or make then panic and manouver. The drawback of this is that it gives the enemy a better position if they decide to turn for you, so only do it if you think the enemy won’t attack.
-About hitting your shots, jets operate at higher speeds, even in low speed dogfights they will go faster than props in such scenarios so you have to lead a bit more. Perhaps it’s just an issue of getting used to new guns.
Hope this absolute wall of text helps
