Hey, just looking for some advice on how to play this beast. It feels like a brick at anything over 300mph, and even then can’t turn better than F3Hs or MiG-21s. It also can’t go incredibly fast either compared to stuff at its BR, so I haven’t been able to figure out how to play it. What are it’s strengths? How do y’all use it? Thanks
Haven’t tried it but everyone I asked told me it’s a torture to spade and only when spaded it does get pretty cool. So I’d advise you spade it first.
Can’t help you on the gameplay though since I didn’t play it. But I’ll sure check the advice coming here for when I’ll play it

I don’t know how to use it but I’ve been told to boom and zoom with it, havent tried it so take it with a grain of salt.
I think it’s good at keeping speed so vertical stuff is good. But anything besides the super good 9.0s get mauled by any 9.3+ so just avoid it. If it’s italy f86k, go for g91y. If it’s france f86k, get mirage 3c, and if it’s the germany one go for the 21mf. Those are all pretty good.
Probably similar to the Hawker Hunter or Vautour IIA, avoid dogfighting most of the time (even though it has wing leading slats) and more hit and run vertical fight tactics along with BnZ. The speed bleed after one turn isn’t worth it and really makes you a huge sitting duck near furballs, as you are correct in that the F-86K surprisingly doesn’t seem all that fast even with the afterburner on while trying to regain speed. The 2 x AIM-9B Sidewinders I would recommend saving for certain moments where jets merge or stall in front of you, while also picking off large jet bombers that can’t maneuver as well for easy kills.
It’s honestly not the best overall 9.0 jet in most aspects and more of a jack of trades one.

I kinda gathered that from playing it. I like challenging myself with new aircraft so it was just something different to try. It’s not my speed and I don’t know if I’ll keep using it but it’s worth it at least to spade it at this point lol. Thanks everyone

I really enjoyed the early Sabres across the board, including the German ones. Again, I’m just looking for the challenge, and was hoping to have some advice while doing so

Yes it’s great. So is the Cl 13 A. Both are very powerful and have good overall performance. IMO great vehicles.

Cool! Is there any notable difference between the two that would make one grind the B or is it just a slightly better A for those who love playing the CL-13?
It’s got 9Bs and a better engine with the Orenda 14 instead of the Orenda 10, giving it generally better performance. I highly recommend it.

Ah that’s pretty nice indeed. The sidewinders are really nice at that br since you face jets faster than you that will often try to zoom away
Yeah, you can force them to bleed speed. Plus the M3s are hitting harder then they used to so it’s a really decent aircraft overall

I’m overall not a huge fan of .50 cals, so it’s nice to know those are good
