How to play AMX-32 in current meta

Can someone explain to me how to play the AMX-32s in the current meta? You have the speed of a Russian heavy and what do you have to show for it? I thought the BR changes would make it playable but it’s still the same piece of junk.
You could say it’s quite an archetypal NATO MBT but it’s more like it takes all the worst parts of NATO tank doctrine. It has a huge turret with a tall forehead. Try using the armour analysis tool and you will see that APFSDS will go through the forehead and then bounce off the bustle roof into the ammo.

The Type 74 at 9.0 is so much better. It even has long rod APFSDS. In fact I think the 8.7 MEPHISTO ATGM launcher is much better than the AMX-32 105
The thermals are worthless. I could never find a use for thermals unless it’s high-resolution on a panoramic sight.

From my experince both AMX-32’s are Leopard 1A5 but heavier… and with strange survivability? Some shells were just disappearing in it’s armor and mostly fuel tanks with no serious damage. Not to mention disgusting stock grind where this tank is just unplayable to be honest. The next AMX-40 is much better, but only because it has good engine.

Japanese tanks received more HP and now they accelerate much faster and I agree with you at this point.

You play it as food for other tanks. If you get to use the actually pretty good gun, you get a kill.
