I love the bradley’s, but tbh I find it severely hard to perform well on it, I try to be patient and sit behind hills so I can launch TOW’s from commander sight, but then either I get sniped from a flanking light, or I just sit there all match and end up with 240 score. I try to flank (Which from the 8.3 Bradley i learnt wasn’t really the best tactic) and the launcher folding fucks me in the ass, or the TOW’s just plummet into the ground :(
Yeah, I dont main the US but treat it like a mobile tank destroyer with no armour. Don’t push up with your team, but be their second line of defence, or flank with fellow light tanks.
Yes, abuse hills to your advantage. Abuse the very OP Tow-2B missle to hit things hiding behind cover. You get thermals, right? So try and find spots that benefit your IFV’s strengths.
I learnt the hard way on how to play with light tanks, especially USSR ones which are arguably the worst due to many reasons (No gun depression, etc).
You never played TOW-2Bs have you
It is a bit difficult with the stupid folding tow missile launcher. I use the tow for longer distance snipping, dont shoot at enemy MBT’s head on. For mbts shoot at tracks, engine, even the barrel. basically target to disable and you can shoot the weak spots to finish off kill or have team mate do it.
Set up ambushes ( expect the enemy to expect it ) but keep your head on a swivel and dont stay in one place to long. if you get a kill move, if you shoot and dont get a kill move. Your mobile so use that to your advantage.
I also barely hit 1kd in this thing lol the biggest offender for my playstyle is the commander binocular view height is the same as gunner sight, which means your turret is already exposed to enemy fire when you peek over the hill, most vehicles allows you to peek without taking damage, and then to make the matter even worse, the bradleys has two crews sitting inside the turret so close that they could start jerking each other off, this means any hit to the turret is instant KO.
I’ve faced them and they work fine against me lol 😭
on release they were different beast, as in you saw top of the bradley and couldnt immidiately shoot it? may as well J out.
then Gaijin borked them (nerfing the penetration a lot but somehow forgetting they use TWO HEAT charges) so nowadays theyre meme.
From my experience theyre good enough against light vehicles but against any T-64/72/80/90 or anything with ERA coverage they do nothing 80% of the time and 19% of time they do minor damage. the remaning 1% of launches does indeed kill the tank outright but it either has to be already damaged or it has to be sideshot so that the missile doesnt detonate against the very edge of the tank or barrel.
2As do most of the heavy lifting on TOW platforms like Wiesel or M3A3.
Bradley is your practice platform for getting better at spotting and engaging vehicles from further away in 3rd person, a skill necessary in top tier where milliseconds matter.
The Bradley by itself cannot perform well when you don’t put it into situations where you can make use of it’s strengths more than the enemy can make use of it’s weaknesses.
Personally, relying on the launcher as your primary is always bound to fail, especially when encountering more than one enemy or one that is already aware of your position
Familiarize yourself with:
Maps
Routes
Vehicle Weakspots (Breach, Gunner+Commander, Engine)
and work on getting into situations where the autocannon will help you cripple if not outright kill any enemy you face.
Disorient, Cripple, Kill, three words to live by in WT
Actually? I thought if you peeked using commander you only exposed small part of the turret, the launcher, and the commander’s sights.
How to perform in the 10.0 Bradley?
That’s the neat part! You don’t!
Back in the day the Tow-2Bs were great, then the IvanBoos cried bloody murder and they got nerfed into the dirt. The vehicle isn’t good at 8.0-8.3 and it’s no better at 10.0BR. Frankly speaking, you’re better off just skipping it.
Today M3A3 Bradley is a niche vehicle, it used to be one of the most annoying vehicles to fight, today is just a shadow of what I was in the past, TOW-2B has a unique mechanic but you shouldn’t rely on it unless you’re looking for a challenging gameplay, for instance the TOW-2B tend to not deal enough damage or sometimes it just triggers before hitting anything.
Different from this case, the BILL II works completely fine yet has the same triggering issues on the TOW-2B but in other hand better penetrating power. Nowadays play the M3A3 Bradley in a way you will never will have risks except by a bomb or direct fire from a plane, which you can’t negate,
Maps like Hürtgen Forest place yourself in the far back of the line, when facing directly an enemy make sure to disable modules or try to be the first to engage and make sure to use TOW-2A, TANDEM warheads are perfect for the type of enemy you’ll face, not to consider that TOW-2A has a better control performance than TOW-2B unless if it was fixed.
