i was playing on steam war thunder and i swithed to linux and use the native linux client
how would i link my steam account to a gaijin account without using steam? i think using steam one would take a lot of time to download the game
Have you tried Web Login or something like that? It should send you to your predetermined search engine, probably firefox, and let you sign in with the account you want.
If you press that you should see this:
And well, you can press Steam and put your account.
my problem with that is that every time i launch the game i have to login again
Ohhhh, okay, try this. Enter Gaijin (Gaijin Entertainment) with the Steam account (should be similar to what you do) and then go to the settings. There, you should be able to link your email if you see something like this:
then, technically you should be able to enter directly using the Gaijin account. Don’t forget to check the auto login, remember password and all that if you don’t want to keep having to log in everytime you enter the game.

Just found this (how could I forget is a mistery).
i remember before installing linux a while ago i made a gaijin account thinking i should make one to link it to steam then i got hit with an error message from the game telling me i cant make a gaijin account from that email because its already used
so i deleted my gaijin account thinking i would be able to use it and it still gave an error
Turns out your gaijin account needs to be deleted for 6 months for it to be actually deleted
maybe it caused that bug idk
Then you might be able to do so when those six months pass.

dont worry i had enough from searching and installed the steam client and connected my email from there
gave it a little test and on the native client i had 120 fps and on the steam one i had 90 fps for some reason
So it went well?
