I played the air top tier before the fox3 wasnt a thing and multipath lowered to 60m. And after these gets added i focused wainly on ground so im lost in top air.
So i need to learn how to notch fox3,1 and some SPAA
Because i want to spade my f15e after the update drops
To notch a missile is one of three defensive stratagies employed to defeat Fox 1 and 3 missiles. When notching you typically wana fire out chaff as you notch or be close to the ground to help scramble the lock. When notching you want the missile to be coming toward one of your wings. (if you imagine that the top of the RWR is 0* you want the missile to be a over 90*, or a little under 270*, howerver you want to avoid having less than 90* degrees because that makes it quite a bit easier for the missile to track and approach you) If you dont understand i can draw a quick diagram of sorts
I understand i need to turn 90 degrees and spam chaff but i still received the missile and the going near into ground will make the enemy attack from a top so its something i need to master to succes.
Can you draw me something or sent video. i couldnt understand
Yeah I can draw something
you want the missile to ping your RWR in the green zone here. Alternatively you can also go cold if you suspect you have enough speed and distance from the aggresor. Around at least mach 1 or above and a smooth turn to retain speed as you go cold. (I suspect you know what going cold is but if you dont it means turning your 6 to the enemy)
Recently someone sent me a link to MiGan Fox-3 YouTube channel. I watched his videos and they are definitely one of the best notching videos I saw. Especially because he focuses on video examples. I already knew the theory behind it (I have read many things and watched many videos on this topic), but it was still hard to understand how to behave in specific situations.
His newest notching video can be found here:
But I also suggest to watch other videos, like this one:
I watched everything related to notching on his channel, and it really helps to understand how to behave in specific situations.
Thanks
