What plane are you using? With most early jets you just need more energy then ir opponents, so make sure the F-80 isn’t above you, otherwise it’ll be able to get you pretty easily.

It’s not very surprising that you struggle. In the current state of compression, a 7.0 like the F-80A usually has a pretty bad time against a 7.7 or 8.0…
I haven’t played either of those so I can’t give you precise advise, but with the way you describe the situation I would probably stick to high energy tactics (high speed clean attacks, boom and zooming, energy trapping…).
I don’t know if this will work in this case, but that’s what usually works for me when the plane I play isn’t better than others at anything.
Though the best advice you could get would obviously come from someone who played one of those or both, so hopefully someone who did will come around soon

F-80A compresses a lot compared to other early jets.
Should maybe try to fly under 700km/h or simply try to bait it into a stall by faking a headon from a higher altitude.
nope, under 700 kph the mb326k completely dominates you, especially with flaps out…
