How player skill with SPAA effects the CAS problem

I just with SPAA were as effective as CAS, they are the most broken and OP game mechanic ever and the devs don’t care. 2000lbs bombs are a balanced game mechanic? This guy wiped out half the team in a single pass and they weren’t even bunched up.

Yeah, you have these thing called ‘idiots’ and these other things called ‘enemies in blue,’ with this combined knowledge, you get supreme skill issue.

Team mates are useless, if you want to deal with CAS, do it yourself, because relying on team mates that aren’t personally put in your squad by you, and have communications, they don’t care, and won’t care.

That’s the issue, they are, people just don’t understand how to use them.

As an example The LvKv 9040 is a better SPAA at 11.3 than all the SAM systems only because of its IRST system and 40mm proxy fuse, no radar warning to planes, no evasion maneuvers displayed, easy range kill’s, even out to 7-8km in some cases, most including helicopter engagements.

Overall - im here beacause in my opinion, problem with cas is different at BR 3+ and different at TOP. And both of problems is not related with “player skill”

For lower BRs where I won’t say AA is as op as 9.-10, think about a P47. He’s gotta check spawn and do the HVAR thing arent he? Or he may be downed by a ost2/wirbel when he’s on the tanks.

TLDR map too small and narrow, prem pack die fast, forced spawn camp etc.

In the same vehicles with the same matchmaker (questionable for different timezones and players) but having different experiences? There must be a reason for the debate to be here. Skill issue is worth a guess.

first problem - vehicles are not the same. Higher BR - more differences (ofc i talk about SPAA / Planes / Helis)
This first problem, generating another problem - experienced player many times can’t do much if he doesn’t get the right vehicle.
Second problem, generating another problem … and again, and again. The point is, there is no balance at all. At lower BR problem is not that big like on TOP, because top tier cas is anihilation of ground units :D

For some dying to something they can’t fight against isn’t a problem, for some it is.

The premise of your argument is wrong which automatically makes it invalid.

How is it wrong? My tank with a slow turret turn speed and a machine gun that can’t point directly up isn’t gonna help me much against a jet coming straight at me, who I might add has already destroyed my engine, blew out a track and killed my gunner; I also didn’t even know they were there until it was too late.

That’s how it feels dealing with CAS. Nothing about it is fair or balanced. No amount of SPAA is going to prevent it because people either A. Wanna play THE TANK GAME and not spend the whole match playing fly swatter and barely get any kills because either CAS hits them first or no planes spawn at all, making spawning as SPAA worthless.

I never see people complaining about such warfare e.g. Heavy Arti strikes on player Infantry in other milsims… If it’s really just “not be able to fight back” and they would cry when a stuka bombs his bvm (or amv may be a better example for having no top mg), bruh they should not be in the discussion.

Think about the difference in balance between: (Lowest to highest)

9.3-10.3 → late ww2 → TopTier

This is how the A-G balance should be thought through…

Yep Pe8 can be different, but that’s the map issue. Tanks shouldn’t be in such a map anyways. I would appreciate it if you could go to map threads and vote for better designs

Because why go for someone actively shooting at you when you can go after someone who is least expecting it?

When a semi capable CAS pilot takes out the 262 with that doom cannon he can wreck havoc. This guy was wiping out tank after tank, 1 hit killed my US T34, makes me wonder what the point of heavy tanks are, everything seems to waste them in 1 hit.
I went SPAA after in the awful Skink, not a chance in hell of hitting a jet bomber with this woeful tank.

The US need a decent, fast firing, mid tier SPAA.

I won’t be spawning anything if team collapse to enemy tanks in the first wave.

And if your team have no AA all the way across mid match - it’s not the plane’s fault now xD

geez I did a grb 6.0 match for ya, 4 planes spawned, 0 A2G kills, team died to ground only xD
