Hello, I recently downloaded the Linux version of War Thunder from here: War Thunder — Realistic Military Vehicles Online Combat Game for PC, Xbox and PlayStation. Play for Free. After using the game for 2 days on medium/low graphics settings, the game kept being slow, and my computer was saying “Limited amount of disk space available: 209 Mb left” and more recently: “Limited amount of disk space available: O bytes remaining”. I have met and exceed the requirements for downloading it, how much disk space does it actually use?
Mine takes up 134.6 GiB with Ultra HQ textures and some high quality user skins. What client version are you using? You can drop down to full if you want to save some space. That should take no more than 60GiB. Btrfs has compression if you are using that. Might help in a pinch.
Originally I was using the Half-client, but it said that I should download the Full-client for better quality, I did so, and now I’m out of space, and it uses more Gigabytes every time it launches.
That seems normal for full client. I don’t think you can do much except buy more storage or drop to a minimal client unfortunately. I am not even sure how much can zstd even compress this data since most of the space is taken up by textures which are already compressed.
Okay, thank you! I’ll have to try doing that, because my system is starting to not work, severely. Like it won’t connect to WiFi, and won’t restart/power off/sleep. Thankfully I was able to take out the battery, and now it’s working alright, but I’m right on the edge, lol.
I’m glad it’s working for you! I deleted an ultra hq folder which was in the War Thunder folder, it looks like I might have used high quality once, so it downloaded those. I’m hoping that that’s the problem, we’ll see!

Okay, I’m now using minimal-client and low graphics settings, and it works! Thank you for the help, I really do appreciate it! @SadLamer
Thanks for showing me that it works, I appreciate it!
