How many tanks have "max-speed" gearing?

So, I’ve been trying to get into silly research of tank transmission and gearing.
Went to play Sprocket but they got it problematic. Went back to WarThunder to test something and found out Pz.III E (and apparently Pz.III F) have gear ratio to reach maximum possible speed. It means it’s almost unlimited - you can reach max. ~55 on the road (engine power limitation) but from a hill you’ll be able to reach 71 kph shown in the statcard. Now I wonder, what other tanks have final gears set like that? For example I also think ELC AMX bis has that, it can barely reach 55-60 kph on flat road, but it’s max speed is 80 kph. I heard Sheridan is like that, I could try.
Are you aware of any other examples? Would love to test!

Also, imagine if arcade mode had all tanks set to that. Imagine MBTs flying at 100-150kph and superheavy tanks reaching huge speeds, too, knowing their engines are power-boosted massively and they have no problem accelerating even further, way beyond 12-20 kph

Max speed is only informative content. What matter is, at the easiest way to explain, power-weight ratio: How fast or how slow your vehicle can accelerate to the max speed.

For example: Object 906 has an, if I’m not wrong max speed of 72 Km/H while most of the time will be capped at ~50 Km/H either because of the power-weight ratio (which honestly is pretty bad), terrain, map topology and so on.

so just say that you wanted to include Object 906 in the list. Anything else you know that could accelerate beyond it’s average speed?

I don’t wanted to include it in any list, I don’t have any deeper information regarding its power pack, just an example of a vehicle that has a high max speed but usually doesn’t reach it in-game.

But other vehicles that don’t reach, or does with struggle are wheeled vehicles. While realistic this doesn’t make the experience fun: At maps with ground terrain these vehicles are usually very slow to reach the max speed.

XM-800T and FV721 Fox is an example of this issue you pointed: both very fast vehicles but the XM-800T usually accelerates fast but the FV721 Fox can, slowly catch it and also can go faster, while both have decent power-weight ratio.

wheeled vehicles indeed have to cope with rough terrain more often… even if they are supposed to surpass it like EBR with its tractor wheels
