How many gunners in a bomber?

The crew UI used to have how many “roper” gunners were on a bomber - which is important since anyone who isn’t a pilot is labelled as a gunner there can be many more people called “gunner” than actually operating hte guns!!

But that seems to have gone - so is htere was way of seeing how many “real” gunners ther are now??

I remember the old interface mentioning number of gunners, but was it correct in all cases?

The reason I’m wondering is because if you hover the cursor over the “Number of Experienced Gunners” text, a popup will show what seems to be the number of actual gunners in the plane.

BUT… while this shows correct for some things (example below of Brigand – 2 gunners but not-actually-gunners can be seen in xray, and the text popup will show 0)

for other vehicles it’s not showing the number correctly

I’m sure I remember there were cases in the old interface where the proper number of gunners shown wasn’t correct… so this text popup might be doing the same functionality, with the incorrectness of the original interface… … not really sure

“you will get used to the new interface” they said…

I said…
Well I’m STILL discovering more ways I hate it a month later!

If I remember correctly, it used to be that the number of experienced gunners required depended on the number of individual turrets, even if IRL the same gunner did operate several of them (like in the Me 410 and Pe-2), because in game all those turrets can individually engage separate targets at the same time.

This seems to have been patched out at some time in the past, so it’s confusing to see the new Me 210s still being affected by this, especially since they have the same defensive armament setup as the Me 410s.
