I am researching the Kronshtadt currently, and am wondering on whether or not its still a good ship. I have heard a few years ago that it was one of the best ships in game, but most of the info i found was from before it got moved to 7.3 and a crapton of battleships got added.
The guns on it are still amazing, the only real difference is that you can be uptiered to fight Nagato, Richelieu, Bismarck and company. They will readily detonate your ship if they hit. Basically nothing has really changed except you can fight some ships that can ignore your guns and instantly nuke you. As long as you don’t mess with them and stay an inconvenient target (don’t sit still or sail in predictable paths) they will ignore you.
In a nutshell: fast glass cannon that fights more tanky ships than before, don’t get hit by anything because they will hurt you hard.
Kronshtadt suffers from being made of glass. While it can wall some early generation APCBC (ie 6.3 dreadnoughts), anything it sees at same tier or higher will blow it out of the water with terrifying ease.
Stalingrad is a more extreme version of Kronshtadt, with higher firerate and less armor. Both have fantastic guns despite the glaring armor issues.
