How is F-104 still at br 9.3?

I’m really confused, guys. why is f104 still at 9.3? I mean, how? Because it’s USA air tech tree, where we also have F8U at 10.0? I thought gaijin said that they were about to fix this broken f104 balancing problem months ago(or years ago)? Gosh how many USA crybabies are there around the world?

Im really hoping the Air Tree Decompress does actually continue and we may see them moving up a bit. But between the 2, I think I consider the F-8U the more OP of the 2 aircraft. I can almost forgive the F-104 because it does have some limitations, but the F-8U really doesnt seem like it had any, I cant understand why its not at 10.3/10.7 alongside aircraft like the Jaguar Gr1A.

Another one I’ll put on this list also is the Lightning F6 (and this is from a brit main) It probably should move up, but would really really need the all-aspect Red Tops for that to be even remotely balanced.

Cause prior to change to how wing ripping works. The majority of F-8U’s were losing their wings left and right.

decompression should come to the 8.0-10.0 bracket soon. about time mig 21 F104s and early mirages get a slap

I think both the F104 and the F8U are equal in terms of being OP, F8U is pretty obvious why it is OP, though with the F104, the fact it can face WW2 and Korean War is so broken and completely untouchable when played correctly. Just recently played a few matches of the F104A and C, and in a downtier, it just clubs.

In general, planes like the F104 (A and C variants) (should be put back at 10.0br), Lightning F6, Mig 19, early Mig 21s (F, PFM), Mig 21S (give it its flare pod, and R-13M (basically an Aim 9G with a G-limit launch, slightly shorter range, and less G overload (15G)) and uptier it to 10.3br), Mig 21 SPS-K, F8U, and T2K are all undertiered and should move up in BR

Because people dont do well in it for the most part.

When gaijin did the br shift, they just took anything doing decent and moved it up.

The f8u had horrible wing rip issues so it didnt get moved up. Now with the wing rip issue lessened and the compression taking affect, I am sure it will move up when they do the next round of br changes.

It really is baffling.

Last time the F-104’s BR increase was brought up Gaijin said they won’t to it because it would make the aircraft less competitive (which is LITERALLY the point of moving it up in the first place as it is overperforming). Now that we got decompression and everything above it went up there is zero reason for it to stay at 9.3

I have been so shocked by seeing such things as USA noobs shot down by mig15bis in f104. I wonder if they actually have to pilot an Imperial Star Destroyer to reach win rate 50%.

Well there is actually a reason… The stupidity of USA air players. Especially when many of them did learn nothing but bombing for a hundred hours.

This was fun (pre-red top buff)

If American players had the skill of British players like @Morvran for example, he’s a British main on this forum with some damn good stats I have a feeling that a lot of American aircraft would be moved up by two or more notches, Thunderjet and shooting star at 7.0 can only be from blatant skill issue, Its 0.3 from the highest props and can just ignore them 90% of the time. As for F104 most of them got moved up other than the worst and first, it only gets aim 9B which is honestly terrible, but its faster than the lightning at most altitudes at the BR, which means you just have to be semi-aware and you own the lobby, its only so low because people learn how to cheese matches using them in that plane.

all issues that are fixed if BR was based on vehicle capability not player skill issue

Vehicles abilities are used for it’s initial BR. After that it’s based on player performance.
