How good is JF-17 in 2026?

I just researched the JF-17 and was wondering how good is it in the current state of the game?
What is the matchmaker like? How good are the PL-12s compared to other Fox3s at this bracket? This is also my first Fox 3 carrier.

its okay, you are fairly slow with a decent to subpar missile count for the BR, your engine drains fuel like a Mig-29 (its a mig-29 engine), your FM is good (par top speed and accel).

SD-10A´s are okay theyll get the job done, PL-5EII´s are good too

MM is mainly prem SU-30´s with the occasional up/downtier.

Currently planning on crewing and spading it myself, but its kit looks reasonable for 13.3 (and no, it doesnt lag behind premium Su-30s as those shouldnt be 13.3 in the first place).

Since MM isnt plane specific - cant meet aesa phoons and rafales in full uptier, can meet F/A-18A in full downtier. I spaded ADF recently and I play lot of MKK, my games tend to be like 70% 13.3, 20% downtiers and 10% uptiers

Went from arguably S tier to B tier few months back after recieving some FM changes. Avoid close range fighting with them.

You have ANY experience with ARB above 12.0 whatsoever or are you ground main who just unlocked squadron aurcraft?

It used to be OK. Not great… but now after PL12 nerf its not even worth flying.

Use the china f16 MLU instead- it slaps

J11a, J7E are really good too. Sadly the rest are now dusty after j10 FM and pl12 nerf.

I think it’s comparable to a f/a18 but at 13.3 with 4 Sd10 and 2 pl5EII then it has maw witch is not bad to have personally I enjoy it I think it’s next to the su33 for recommendation to get

i have spent some time in the SU33 and am quite decent with it, this is only .3 higher is it quite different? in tech tree I have not gone higher than 12.0

well SARH vs ARH drastically changes what can you afford to do in missile joust.

Dont tanke this personally, but seeing as you are relatively a newbie to ARB 12.0+, including how you perform with Su-33, Id highly advise you to reach at least one ARH plane naturally first. You will be introduced to the mechanics gradually instead of all at once + SARH BRs are slower and relatively less deadly so you will be able to learn a lot more stuff per game in more forgiving enviroment, instead of being thrown to wolves.

Again, this is not meant to be personal or trying to statshame you, just saying how things are.

Radar missiles require lot of learning on by themselves, let alone learning how they work on top of things like IRCCM missiles, notching, chaffing, radar operation etc.

I caught up to german top tier back in march 2023 when it was still the 12.7 MiG-29, since then I researched every new top tier german aircraft basically immidiately after release, including Typhoon, so I was gradually introduced to the new technologies as they becamse aviable and still it wasnt until december last year when I actually somewhat learned how to fly.

You plan to throw yourself just below jet top tier with way less experience.

I cant forbid you from doing so, but im not saying all this stuff just willy nilly.

Thank you for your honest advice : )
