just curious. i heard its supposed to keep the missile to the last lazered target if you get shot down or have to dodge a missile or smth. not sure if thats how it works
It means if the laser goes off, the missile will go to the last place that the laser was designated, and continue going there.
If the target is moving, the missile obviously wont hit in IOG. If you get shot down, usually you will break the TV lock but still have the laser on, or go into a spin. Technically the laser will still be on, so the missile will try to continue following it. What will happen is it will try to follow the laser, break lock, and go IOG in some random direction.
