How do you get these forum badges?

Like other BBS forums, Warthunder also has many badges that show player qualifications, but it doesn’t tell you how to get them like other forums. I’m curious about how to get these badges, just like this dude in my picture, so cool

You can get these badges when you participate in the CBT.

For example, the latest CBT was the French Bluewater and Coastal fleet:

There are two ways to participate in the CBT (and get the badge):

  • you can just buy the pack with specific vehicle
  • you can complete 12 daily tasks (they require just playing the specific game mode)

In the case of the French navy, this is the badge you could get:

Tasks progress can be checked in the Achievements section of your profile (you need to complete 12 tasks):

So that’s the real purpose of this sticker. I think I may have known too late. Maybe one day i can give it a trywhen gaijin adds China Coastal fleet🤣

I don’t think the emblem will be enough to get the badge on the forum. You can get this emblem for 10 tasks, but CBT status requires 12. I think you need 12 to get the badge, but I never checked this.

BTW: I don’t even understand why this emblem requires only 10 tasks. It would make much more sense if it required 12, but that’s War Thunder.

As others have mentioned, CBT’s are a way to obtain them, although i think pre-orders too? Not sure tho, unless that pre-order gives access to a CBT.

Which begs the question, where is the badge for French coastal CBT participants? Is it coming? Or have they stopped doing this now?

I suspect they will still treat Naval (Bluewater and Coastal) like just one big tech-tree, so I don’t think there will be a separate badge for Coastal fleet. But we will see.

If there will be any additional badge, it should be added after the CBT (after the tech-tree is made publicly available), so probably next week.

The previous Italian fleet was added to the game before the Naval tech-tree split:

So we actually have this situation for the first time, when Bluewater and Coastal had two separate CBTs. It would definitely be nice to receive two badges for completing both.

Yes, in the additional window, after clicking on the profile picture:

It would be great if they also added badges to the Summary screen of the profile. Maybe one day some wise forum administrator will do it.

I have been wondering what Gaijin did with those since the new forums. I miss having them at the bottom of our posts by default.
