My PC Performance has been acting a little slow and war thunder does not seem to be running well on it so is there any way I could make it work better?
Reduce the graphics settings or resolution. Also the game its not well optimized, even with decent pc you get fps drops sometimes.
We would need to at least know your PC specs to even speculate.

go to nvidia controll pannel - Adjust image setting - Use my preference - drag it to performance. [dont forget to press apply]
in the pannel then go to Manage 3D settings - CUDA GPUS set to ALL - OpenGL rendering GPU select your graphic card - Power management mode select maximum - Shader cache size select 100GB - Texture filtering quality set to high performance
in the Configure surround, physx- select your GPU as processor
go to Adjust desktop size and position - select no scaling - set Perform scaling to monitor if you can - set resolution to your native setting
Travel to a parallel universe where gaijin spends the proper amount of money on the game from the ~100million USD they make each year from it.
That does not mean its “optimized”.
It for sure is optimized for low end hardware in order to get a much larger player base.
Tell me, why does it stutter and drop fps with a 4080 an 7800x3d?
No other game does it on my PC, including Avatar Frontiers of Pandora that is lighyears ahead in graphics quality.
The game engine is simply a piece of shit patched into oblivion.
