How do i play Late Re's and G.55's?

Ive tried to Boom and zoom with it the Mg 151’s are hard for me to lead at this br at lower Br’s im ok maybe even good with them but C,202N2 im really bad playing and struggling to get kills. They cant really turn as good as most other fighters at its BR even at high speeds its not too agile.this is mostly likey just a me issue bc im not the best at the game

it’s not your fault, most italian props with cannons are overtiered.

Re.2005 and it’s family turn very well and have a lot of ammo, headon and turn as always.

fiat g.55 serie 1 is overtiered, you are a serie 0 at 5.3 and with 3 20mils instead of 1.

g.56 is average in all aspects, but superstangs will chew you alive if they know how to play.

both Fiats like high altitude, at lower alts they are very slow since up above the powerplants make them nice energy managers at the cost of turntime.

Keep in mind it’s not your fault you do well with these aircraft, they are overtiered as balls for no reason.

Try the stealth belts, better muzzle velocity and you don’t use tracers that much with this 20mm, still bad ballistics due to drag.

I survive off Tracers Im a kinda bad air player so i need them but ill try stealth belts (ive never tried them before…)

you can keep the tracers on the .50 cals have similar velocity so you can rely on those for leading if you need, but yeah the stealth belts on the 20mms are much better

Most Italian props are pretty middle of the line from what I remember. I spaded them all a while ago so I don’t remember much, and I only really consistently play the 2005 VDM

As for the MG 151, you just have to get used to the velocity. I personally run tracers in them but stealth is technically better. Either way they either nuke a plane or do nothing.

For play style, all the planes have a DB605A, so it should be somewhat similar. I’d climb to like 4000-5000 meters (you can go higher or lower depending on the match, also the weather and pressure actually really affects props so beware of that), and then slowly pick targets at decreasing altitude.

Don’t get into fights (rule of thumb for almost all props) because that can quickly lead to error, no matter the plane. And since most people run planes like Yak-3P, just don’t get into fights anyway.

For specific planes Re.2005s are great both, VDM is really good and I use it a lot. C.205 have a weird lineup, C. 205 serie 0 has the best flight performance but worst guns (at 3.7). C.205N2 has worse performance but best guns (forgot he), and serie 3 has middle of the line. To be honest the guns don’t really matter because they all kinda suck either way, so in my opinion the original is the best. G.55 serie 0 good, the rest fall off against better opponents. I hated the G.56 because it is so incredibly mid and when I played it the lobbies sucked.
