How do I add tanks to my lineup without making this mistake over and over?

I feel I have gotten screwed by paying double conversion costs multiple times and it just happened again, can someone explain my error?

I was creating a new German 6.7 preset lineup, different from my default 6.0. First purchase in the new preset was Tiger II, paid for and paid conversion costs. Played a few games, decided to add the light tank. Purchased it, selected slot #2, paid the conversion cost. It puts the light tank in slot #1, sends the Tiger II back to research, so I still have only one tank. Go to bring the T2 back into the lineup again….it wants 57,000 SL to pay for conversion AGAIN.

This has happened to me so many times but I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

You have to make sure that the right slot is selected. You have to activley select the slot first before you add the vehicle.
Drag and drop the vehicle to the right slot can help too.

Yeah don’t purshase the vehichle slot right away, on the botton you can select which crew slot you would like the vehichle to be in.
