guys i dont get it how i died
magic overpressure probably
ammo detonation most likely
there is a small chance for ammo to detonate at even the lowest levels of damage, even tho its like 1/1000 its still possible
Hello Jitsu,
The ammunition is calculated much like real life, even if ammunition is barely touch it could detonate to simulate realist.
This is a rare occurrence but not impossible.
Please share the replay ID so we can take a deep dive into what happened!
overpressure killed crew or ammorack
Either magic overpressure or your ammo was close to blowing already
Ammo explosions are so inconsistent. Today I was in an Abrams, got shot through my turret, blast door breached, dark red ammo and no explosion. Then here, ammo explosion with a yellow.
yellow ammorack explosions dont exist, game dosnt work like that.
Game works with hitpoints and ammo has a certain amount of it, if one shell blows it can happen (and usually do) that all nearby shells blow up too. More modern systems can prefent a chain reaction though, also blast doors help reducing the damage, but if to much shells cook then ure fkt. especially on more modern systems its more complex then this example but i guess everyone gets the point.
also the aphe isnt big enough to do overpressure in this case
in fact, as no one checked the replay, i did it myself… the answer iis not 100% clear but it seems that these are the possible answers:
- you where firing in that moment, therefore your barrel was in a different position then when u dont fire (like in the hangar)
- you where in move, therfore the balistics are different then in the hangar when its simulating a still standing tank
- and this will be 99% the case, as i dont belive gaijin would calculate the different position of the barrel ingame due to complexity, the scrapnell is not always the same, shot the same piece twice and you will have different results in the simulation. Whcih is logical, as schrapnells need to be at random, otherwise you could learn the schrapnell patterns and use it to an advantage.
happy to help
All this reminded me the first time i played the 90 T1e1, i somehow had one ammo burn out… it was solid ap with no explosive mass…
does my ammo have an alkali metal or smth 😭
