the most recent video was 11 months ago but he said in a post more recently that cheating just isnt as common in GRB as it used to be because it just gets shut down too quickly and is a waste of money for basically everyone involved
Yeah you’re banning bots and portraying it as cheater bans. its why you only claim a thousand or so every “wave” meanwhile other free-to-play games that are far more proactive have bans in the tens of thousands every few weeks, and not when they feel like the community might notice.
Unless you wanna argue that the BattleEye version Gaijin pays for is super top secret stuff that no other game on the market has access to. :3

That is from one YT account thats advertising cheats. That is how long it took to ban, YT had to get involved, not Gaijin, and in the videos which are all over YT, they dont even cover their names.
If you want to watch anything interesting, Watch ‘The wiggle that killed Tarkov’ even if you dont care about tarkov, the way cheaters act and handle are the exact same and most importantly, The Community and Devlopers act the same way. ;) by attacking the guy exposing the problem.

bro, I literally just went to 3 random usernames from the most recent ban wave, none of them could reasonably be claimed to be botted accounts only 1 had more than 200 battles in a single vehicle and that was the challenger 2 OES in which he had a 50% winrate and a 1.2:1 kd

11k views, still not banned and read the comments bud. Yeah, WTCS got a job, because reporting on cheaters doesn’t pay the bills, and more importantly its depressing work when they arnt being banned. If you google that cheat you can see reddit posts complaining about it not being banned as recent as yesterday, but when you click the posting, its been removed by a Mod.
But I got my answer from the mods boss, I wont be reading this further. There is not an updated anti-cheat on the way, they’re just exploiting the cheaters rn at our expense.

We (GM’s) are not banning cheaters, that’s not within our work or our competence, and not what I said. What I DID say is that we get the screaming, as banned players try appealing with us.
I really recommend you tone it down a bit and don’t overstep any boundaries. Your conspiracy theories are already something, but don’t start getting insulting.

Summary

Out of curiosity:
I play deliberately Air RB only as from my pov cheats in this BR range and due to game mode setup (=Markers) makes no sense. I never met an obvious cheater in ~ 30k battles.

real like ultimately the only cheats I can really imagine being useful that are ‘common’ would be ESP and only really in GRB/GSB or ASG, because ultimately this game isnt exactly difficult, like if you need a cheat to help you aim, maybe you should go play easier games
Personal opinion based on personal experience here, not an official statement:
Human nature makes us suspect a cheater every time we get killed in a situation we do not fully understand. But once we look at it (server replay is your friend…), we can learn how more often than not those cases were just a combination of luck, skill and situation.
Just yesterday was in a match where I made two extraordinary kills that from the opponents view may have looked like cheating: They were behind vegetation and moving behind a smoke screen, yet I oneshotted them just by guessing where they were based on previous behavior and (90% admittedly…), sheer luck.
And that of course works both ways: If I get killed in a for me strange way, that does not mean the other cheated, it could just be his skill (or my lack of it), special circumstances or simply just luck.
I’ve only had a few cases where I was so skeptical about how I got taken out that I checked the Server Replay, and I think only one or two of them I then actually reported as suspected cheaters, because as I analyzed it they could not have seen me before to take that killing shot. But most other cases I had to admit it was indeed just well played by the other, with no apparent or implied illegal technical aids.
(Final note: I do NOT say there are not players who use illegal mods to get an advantage, they absolutely do exist, and it’s a constant effort to fight against them. But it is taken seriously - very seriously. Note also that obviously the playerbase does not see or know in detail or completely, what goes on behind the curtains in the fight against illegal game activities…)
