Got to level 31 with doing nothing but logging in daily and ignoring the tasks. So getting the first vehicle is quite doable actually. Never noticed, because I never bothered.

Same here - but I’m not high enough to have used guided missiles much - I have a few available but avoid them 'cos my brain is old and hasn’t got room for yet another mechanism that requires a modicum of skill!!

I got to level 80, which got me the skin. Work and other obligations prevent me from grinding like I could when I was still a younger man.
It was my first time I played the game for the Battle Pass, and I don’t think I’d do it again.
I only have so much time to invest, and War Thunder isn’t really respectful of that time. It rarely feels like you can complete all of the tasks that War Thunder lays before you, and the Rank III requirement on the battle pass really limits your ability to go for the monthly objectives as well.
The current event is also a huge grind beyond most players with a full life schedule, and the new and current battle pass don’t always line up well for you to do both at once.
I don’t think War Thunder needs to cater to people who play casually, but I do think the game needs to be considerate of folks time in a way that I don’t think it currently is. I think it is demoralizing and is at least somewhat of a reason for people to stop playing.
