Can you only control it with one of the drivers (driver/loader) or you can also control it with just commander (if some shell hits you on the left part but you manage to survive)?
How does it affect gameplay, does it decrease reload speed? Driving abilities?

It doesn’t as far as I know. The tank is autoloaded and I believe all crew members have access to all essential controls. The only thing you might lose out on is the commander MG.

Only repair time is affected, I mean the most noticeable difference. Reload, driving or any other critical assets works just fine.
It’s historically accurate, the Strv 103 was the first turretless main battle tank being able to be fully operated by a single crewmember.

what happens if you lose 2/3 crew in Arcade? Does it still work as normal or does it start automatic crew replenishment? What if you get 3/3 crew killed?
In arcade if you lose two out of three regardless it will replace a new crewmember for you, if you lose three out of three you are considered destroyed.

In arcade yes, except I guess you can still use it after you lose the second crewmember after the replacement.

HSTV-L can also be operated by one crewmember IRL, the feature of duplicated control systems for more than one crew isn’t exclusive to the cheese wedge.
what about in-game features though?
But in War Thunder it can’t be operated by less than two crewmembers.
