HMS Repulse: “Who Touches Me is Broken”!

Yes, it was strange, the first B7A prototype was created in 1942. G4M, which is already in the game, would be more suitable. Even though I don’t play with ships, I’m glad that the British are getting a reinforcement in their navy. I would like to see more French and British ships of the line.

well i do wish it was a better 7.0 ship ie a Late war QE or one of the KGV’s or Nelsons

realisticaly we should have been getting the QE’s for the past year at a minimum

It’s interesting that yesterday I posted suggestions about the Mitsubishi G3M2 (not yet accepted). Perfectly on time

Repulse - sunk
Hood - sunk
Barham - sunk
Renown - survived, the only 7.0 that did so

What is on with gaijin only adding ships that were sunk in the war to British TT? Not to mention that Britain never gets their spotlight to represent the single strongest interwar flotilla.

Bold for a navy who got chased away by a nelson that sails 29 knots

Im sure Britain gets a few when the war ended, not sure why needed but possible.

I don’t know enough about ships to comment, other than that the FV107 Scimitar and Tornado GR.4 are long-awaited and iconic vehicles, while Repulse seems to be generating only moderate enthusiasm by comparison.

I hope this isn’t it for the next 2 years. It’s nice if you don’t have either event ships, but quite a downgrade over HMS Hood. We desperately need a 7.0 battleship.

It’s a straight downgrade over HMS Renown we got at the start of the year in an event, and overall much weaker than either HMS Hood or HMS Barham (though far more manoeuvrable than Barham is). So great if you don’t have either event ship, but otherwise a kinda mediocre addition if you do.

Want Britain desperately needs is battleships that can go toe to toe with other 7.0s from other nations. Something like:

HMS Queen Elizabeth (HMS Barham in a WW2 refit)
HMS Rodney/Nelson
HMS King George V

So it’s a good filler and far better than the Battle of Jutland spam weve had this year so far, but I’m desperately hoping we get something more in December and this isn’t it for the next 2 years for top tier.

the KGVs would be a step above what we have right now, but that bridge needs to be jumped some day,
QEs and R class are Perfectly fine and honestly no wonder why neither has really come to the tech tree (yes I know Barham but event)

Nelsons would we on par with the Nagato’s at the minimum, question is do we get the Rodney 25-27 knots she did chasing Bismarck or the designed 23,

also still waiting on HMS Tiger (1913) nice clean firing arcs for its main battery

Yeah, KGV at most would be 7.3. something has to be first. As for the others year, agreed

yeah lets hope we dont return to it till they have a br bracket to enjoy when we get br decompression in like 2050

well do we know what they currently use as there are multiple factors to consider espesialy as rodney’s engines were quite old at the time aswell

A mediocre top tier ship what is all very nice historically, but of no great consequence to the game.

understatement, they were shot, was sailing to the US for a machinery replacement when the call to sink bismarck was sounded, and after the 1-2 hours of overpressuring the boilers they were certainly shot afterwards, top speed of like 19-21 knots after that 25-27 knot sprint

haha yeah… Some of those dreadnoughts look like fun, but I just cant bring myself to play any of them because I dont want to risk fighting a Scharnhorst or Amagi. I’ve one shot the Marlborough too many times to know I never want to stock grind it

given that hood is not even at it correct speed the nelsons will be nice and slow

yeah i have tried with some of the 6.3’s and invinvible but the guns seem to do nothing
