Hi everyone,
Royal Academy (皇家学院) is opening up its 2nd squadron (^HJXYs^) for new members.
Who we are
Royal Academy is an established squadron with a solid core in China. Our 1st squadron (^HJXY^) has veteran players who have been at this game for years and has taken part in community tournaments such as the “Iron Torrent Cup” (钢铁洪流杯). Our commander, Jiawen, used to livestream War Thunder on Bilibili — back then, squadron life was basically playing for fun and teaming up with squadron members. That spirit is still what we are: friends playing together, not a second job.
Be HONEST — please read before applying.
Our 2nd squadron is still small, and our total squadron activity is low compared to a full 128-player squadron. If you know how squadron activity works, you know what that means: the activity pool doesn’t fill up, so everyone’s squadron vehicle RP per 3-day cycle is capped well below the 20,000 max — our members currently get somewhere around 5,000–7,000 RP per cycle. That is not something we can fix by playing harder — It’s a team-size problem.
I would rather tell you this upfront than have you join and find out the hard way.
So if squadron vehicle RP is your only goal, we are honestly not the best place for you right now. But if you’re looking for people to play with — and you like the idea of being part of a small squadron that grows into something bigger — there is no better time to join.
What you get right now
· A small group where questions actually get answered — ask something in the group and someone will reply;
· Early-member status: you’d be one of the people who built this squadron.
What we ask
· No attendance quotas, no K/D requirements, no mandatory events. Play when you feel like playing.
· Just be someone who plays regularly and treats teammates like friends.
Everyone shares squadron activity, so one more active player lifts the pool for the whole squadron — including your own RP.
How to join
· In game: Squadrons → search tag [HJXYs] → Apply for membership. An officer will accept it as soon as we’re online.
· QQ group: 628719979 — QQ is uncommon outside China, but that’s where we talk. Add your in-game name when you join. If you’d rather ask questions first, just reply here or DM me on the forum — that works too.
· Teamspeak & Discord - If you’d rather choose other platforms, please contact me, and I will create a Discord channel for us. We actually have TS, which, if you don’t mind play with Chinese members in the squadron :D
If you have been playing War Thunder on your own, come and join our squadron. Even if you just want to drop in, ask about a vehicle line, or find someone to squad up with — no need to struggle, and you’re welcome to join, and there’s no commitment needed.
P.S. Players from other countries are more than welcome here — we’d genuinely love to have you! If you speak English, that’s ideal: the officers can handle English just fine, so you won’t be left out of anything important. The group chat is mostly in Chinese, but we’ll keep you in the loop in English where it matters, and translating game talk isn’t hard — a tank is a tank in any language. Don’t let the language question stop you from applying; come say hi first and see how it feels.
See you in the skies and on the ground,
Kasaki Sakili (笠木咲里) — officer, Royal Academy 2nd Squadron
