I would like to suggest a historical correction for the Iranian F-14 Tomcat (IRAF) in War Thunder.
The F-14 was purchased and delivered to Iran before the 1979 Revolution, during the Pahlavi era. At the time these aircraft entered Iranian service, the official national flag of Iran was the historical Lion and Sun flag. Because War Thunder places a strong emphasis on historical accuracy and period-appropriate markings, I believe the current flag used on the F-14 IRIAF does not properly reflect the historical context of this aircraft.
For the sake of consistency and authenticity, I respectfully request that the current flag be replaced with the historical Lion and Sun flag, or at least made available as an alternative historical option. This should apply both to the vehicle preview and to the aircraft model in-game.
This is not meant as a political statement. It is simply a request for historical accuracy, consistent with how War Thunder represents vehicles from different eras and nations.

It’s better than you flying with a lie. Besides, I only requested the flag and didn’t say anything about missiles. And he still has the Phoenix missiles.

f14 are still flying to this day under islamic gov, they had aim54 even after the event, they build missile based on aim54 who is know as fakour 90.

R-27 was never compatible anyway and its ahistorically present on the Iranian F-14.

also remove the aim7 and aim9 that were retrofitted during the iran iraq war too as they (F-14s) were only delivered with the vulcan and phoenixes

the issue is that the radar is incompatible
missiles can be mounted but not be able to be fired
we already have the USSR flag, it objectively represents a similar “alien” ideology as the nazi flag, besides, the in game flag for germany is one that was used side by side with the nazi one IRL. i wouldnt mind either way

You are absolutely right, and the Lion and Sun flag should completely replace the regime flag. Supporting the regime flag is Iranophobia.
