Iirc, this vehicle has its own ahead style ammunition.

I’m like 70% sure that these are the same vehicle, the Grifo is just the most recent name.

You can also add the 2S38 production to the list, it has a guided proximity round called 3OU7.

The round:

MEADS vehicles are needed to be in a battery together. As far as I know.

Sky Saber/Grifo have the possibility of operating independently from a standalone radar vehicle.

Dude I love the consistency I can always expect you to post an update every once in a while. You are honestly single handedly helping solve the SPAA problem in the game. I don’t have any information on SPAA but if you ever make one of these for tanks I have a lot for you

Wait a minute, so basically the Type 87 and AWX are capable of firing AHEAD round?

Every Oerlikon 35 is, and also variations of it like PGZ09 and ZA-35 guns.

technically only those with the barrel programmators added. that’s why the Gepard cant ‘use’ (program) ahead but still fire it

Question was about firing… :P

After carefull review of the Gepard in game, i deemed that it does indeed have programmators in game.

Gaijin modelling, i guess

those are actually the round velocity measurement devices.
they help in gun leading for the gepard

this is the programmator

Well, the programmator is not always the same

This is ZA GA35 with AHEAD programmer.
Basically ZA-35

huh… doesnt have ahead in game right?
bug?

There is no hard proof, as only Denel DPG, a sister program to ZA-35 has AHEAD mentioned in the brochure. ZA-35 should be also capable of firing it, as they are identical guns, but as there is no straight up proof, no AHEAD for now.

That just looks like a muzzle break

i mean… it could be like an upgrade that they could do.
but hadnt done yet?

From the brochure from 1994

And here is the gun today, that is known to use it

It is the same

the barrel end is different though, instead of a reversed cone
