High tier Sweden: What's left?

but wasn’t the french one also just a normal CV9035NL without the MLU?

Edit:
“Armed with a Bushmaster III 35/50 cannon. Adopted by the Netherlands as CV9035NL and Denmark as CV9035DK. Within BAE Systems Hägglunds, CV9035 is known as the CV90 Mk III”
think they are C&P

Well have to see, cause gaijin has a tendency to not add french missiles to france and the MLU and mk4 cv use Akeron. Im just predicting that the best cv90 models going forward will go to other nations.

eitherway, skipping on either MLU there is also the Mk IV with Akeron missiles that Sweden is testing as they have plans to have their own licence built version of the missile with possibly some modifications

Stingers are kinda meh right now so it could be a better alternative, but it would be missing out on the protection and 50mm the MLU had mounted

The likelihood of gaijin adding a cv90 with an autocannon to sweden which isnt doa is the likelihood that the gripen C for sweden gets a better radar than the SAAF and Hungarian version. So not very likely

Bottom one with NERA. It’s said to have Gen 1 or 2 thermals too. Also could mount the HEAT fence as well.

Top one is not actually the D, it’s actually a remotely controlled test variant.

leo 2A7DK overview of changes also another funny:

Denmark and Norway aren’t confirmed subtrees so no chamce this would be added anytime soon nor is it really needed, still cool nonetheless

Yes, but there’s still a strong case for Denmark and Norway being added to Sweden eventually. The ties between these countries are super deep, especially in WWII. Sweden literally helped both countries by sheltering resistance fighters and training the Danish Brigade. They were already working together back then, and that’s only grown over time.

Look at modern stuff like NORDEFCO—they’re still super tight when it comes to military cooperation. Splitting them into separate trees wouldn’t make much sense and would kind of ignore how connected Scandinavia has always been.

So yeah, it’s not confirmed yet, but honestly, it feels like keeping the “Nordic family” together is the obvious choice

Now for the comment about the 2A7, I’m not here for Denmark and Norway just so Sweden gets more Leopard 2s—I couldn’t care less about modern stuff. What excites me are the unique upgraded vehicles like the Norwegian Pansarjäger (Super Chaffee) and the Danish modernized Walker Bulldog. I’m all for any other potential WWII or Cold War stuff, too, since both nations have plenty of interesting options from that era.

That said, for my sanity, I beg they don’t do what they did with Finland and fill 80% of it with copy-paste vehicles. There’s so much potential for unique additions here, and it would be such a waste if they just recycled the same stuff instead of showcasing the actual character of these nations’ lineups.

My idea of high tier sweden is just more cv90 variants perhaps and TDs from scandinavia

so yes, uncomfirmed. but unlikely to split
