For the love of God there have been like 80% air updates of the last 20, ground is in such a horrible state with 24/7 CAS at any tier i play. Gaijin so blinded by greed that they can’t see it’s keeping some people from buying premium tanks for TO is nuts. If they made a top tier AA premium that was useable people would probably drop $100 on that garbage for their terrible gameplay setup.

its guaranteed that you or a nearby teammate will be removed by CAS every single game without exception at higher tiers, and there is nothing you can do about it.
SPAA are useless, have no rewards and are generally pointless to play even though theyre entirely vital.
the state of ground battles is nothing more than a jole, its practically unplayable. you wont go one game without swearing at CAS runing a “ground battle”.

first spawn dead to CAS, second spawn crippled by cas.
i killed two people with the second spawn, both of them were killed flying an orion by a saint SPAA…

You should change the answer do because first spawn died by CAS then it was KA-50 suicide attack.
Quit every battle after 1st death, especially against Russia. It is too OP.

game after game, this shit is unbearable. took a break from top tier and now that im back in higher BRs im not gonna play one game without being killed by a plane.
whether to blame gaijin or the players, this is just garbage.
i dont want to cry and whine about CAS all day but who enjoys this shit, top tier is in shambles

as of writing this edit i was strafed by 3 separate CAS, what to even say about it. just delete cas for the love of god

I will tell you what i did.
After the 50th time they bombed as i spawned , i took a minute and thought fk 'em .
Spawn plane for the next 10 games. Made the life of CAS crappers miserable by spawnkilling them instead and CASed my self.
Then i proceeded playing Arcade instead… Yes it’s not realistic and it has the target (which is usually wrong anyway) , but as gameplay it’s WAY superior.
The other step i’ve tried is SIM. Again way better but it’s tricky , TKing there is a sport for most people because of bad identification!

I’ve not read through all 387 replies so far, but let me add a few words.
I tried the Otomatic for the first time yesterday and while I’m not bad in a SPAA, a Gun SPAA as “top tier” is ridiculus.
The only SPAAs that are somewhat usable are indeed the ITO, ADATS and FlaRakRad. I don’t have the Pantsir, but I assume it is quite good from what I’ve seen from various CCs. The Tor/HQ17 is a SPAA I can’t get to work properly. Not sure if it is a skill issue on my end or just a bad SPAA.
For nations like Italy, Japan and Israel you simply don’t have a SPAA for top tier and even down to 10.3 it’s a nightmare for those nations.
TheCodMineMan just added a video that shows how easy it is to get into a SU-30 and get a full loadout with KH38 and some R-77, so you can kill ground targets and defend yourself against CAP.
Same would be true for any other plane in all nations, so it’s not a russian bias thing, it’s simply the shift of balance in high and top tier entirely towards CAS.
The issue becomes a bit more pronounced, because people TRY to play their ground vehicles, either to spade them or to research the next ground vehivle or simply because the bloody game mode is about ground vehicles and that’s what they enjoy.
So by the time you got killed 2-3 times in your tank or IFV you simply don’t have the spawn points to bring a CAP anymore, all you’ve got left is a SPAA.
And thanks to the more recent addition of F&F missiles and the “realistic” control mode for the SPAA missiles, your options are…extremely limited.
Add to that, that you don’t just deal with planes, you also deal with helicopters that shoot from outside your gun and you IR missile range, so you only have radar missiles left.
In the mean time, you also need to worry about where to position your SPAA, because the map design allows for, relatively, easy access to the spawn area and while you try to bring down a helicopter you’re being targeted by an enemy tank.
Anyways, all this is well known to Gaijin, they can’t be bothered to address it, so I don’t expect them to solve it. So I’ve done what many others also do and stepped down the BR range I play.
I’d love to get my Leo 2A7 out and spade it, but not in this completely unhinged and unbalanced mess.

It’s not even just high tier. I went back to 4.0 to spade the M44 and had multiple games where Yak-9K’s had 10+ kills and P-47’s had 5+ kills. Most players at 4.0 are relatively new and not every nation has good SPAA, so unless a veteran player uses a wirbelwind or .50 cal truck or hops into a fighter, the game is decided as soon as one of these CAS planes spawns in.

It will not help for someone who just wants to play tanks? imagine one team killed all the enemy’s air pests, then their CAP and CAS have left nothing to do, they go and harass tanks again?
